4x5 on bench at my highschool?
im always hearing about the 5x5 rep scheme on these threads. at my school we do four sets of five reps on bench with one weight, i use 225 right now. on the last set you go to fail, if you get 6 or 7 they tell you to bump up. does anyone know the reasoning behind this or heard about it/know if its any good?

They're focusing on high weight low rep... if you can do more than the set number then you bump up the weight..
yes thats how it works.
I hope your school works on more than just bench tho.

no way man, bench is the only lift we do, its all you need
id hope any school would do more than just bench alone haha
