Retaining water for a week?

Hi there. Just started a program Nov 8th and have noticed that my underwear and pants seem awfully tight.

I averaged for the last week (according to Fitday)
Cal 1444
Carbs 42%
Protein 29%
Fat 29% (9% from saturated fat)

I was under on my protein and over on my fat

I weight trained Nov 8,9,12,14,16 and did Cardio Nov 9,13,15 which was a min. 30 min. run.

My question is this. I know I haven't dropped any weight and I know I haven't gained any real weight based on those numbers. Is this water retention. I've been pee'ing like a racehorse for a week now. If so, how long does this last?

Lifting can increase glycogen and water storage in the muscles, so you can 'swell' a little bit. It comes and goes. Are you going to menstruate soon? I know that I always gain 1-4 lbs a week prior, and after I'm done it drops right away.

No...it's not near that time of the month. I just feel really puffy around the middle, that's for sure. Oh...and way more hungrier than normal. No....I'm not pregnant... lol I'm 45 and fixed

I say just don't stress about it. Maybe your muscle/body are just adjusting to the work you are doing. I have a poochy/puffy belly naturally myself. So I get super frustrated when stuff like this happens.

Too many carbs do that to me. I do better with 33/33/33 or even 40/20/40.
