Popcorn at night?
I was wondering... how bad is some naturally popped popcorn late at night?
Are these bad carbs before bed? I know that on weight watchers this is considered the perfect snack... what does everyone think?

yeah the popcorn is fine
loads of butter / salt / and eating massive amoutns isnt that great for you
have it in moderation and enjoy it.. its not too bad.. but its still more ideal u get some protein and fat before bed also

popcorn and commercial popcorn is like comparing an apple to a toffee apple.
One in its original pure form is good for you, the other takes an innocent good food and drowns it with nasties.

where is the math?
(logic problem, you mean?)
op, i would say popcorn in moderation is fine. have a few cups of air popped popcorn if it's what you want...better to give the body some of what it desires than to deny it everything and create the scenario for a binge.

Thats more of the answer I was thinking of... I know popcorn (air popped) is healthy... my concern was more around eating at night though and how it would effect the anabolic state and such as a carb at night?

don't worry about the above gi-related post. Fit it into your daily calories/macros and you are fine. end of story.

do you really believe that? Thats like saying its fine to eat 3 bagels just before bed as long as they fit in your daily calorie allowance.
