Do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach 3-4 X a week..start with 20 min and within a week or two bump it up to 40min.Or do 20min HIIT.
Eat good carbs (oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat pasta & sweet potato)
Eat good protein (egg whites, grilled chicken & lean beef ect.)
Cut out the carbs after 4pm. Eat Fat free cottage cheese before bed.
Eat small meals throughout the day with high protein low fat & good carbs.

Do NOT do it on a COMPLETELY empty stomach. That would be near retarded and you'd lose tons of muscle. Take a lot of glutamine, and/or creatine, and/or anything of the like that doesn't really have calories. I read somewhere in an article that the difference was minimal between in the morning/on an empty stomach versus after you've eaten/gotten enough nutrients anyway, so it may not be worth it to you. The numbers, I think but not sure, were something to the like of regularly you burn roughly 50/50 in terms of fat and regular daily calories. While on a completely empty stomach it goes up to like 68% burned is bodyfat. Some may consider that a lot. But in my eyes it's not worth the risk of losing of muscle. Especially if you have plenty of time on your hands to lose the weight.

How would you lose tons of muscle doing cardio on an empty stomach?
I always thought cardio was best saved for after weightlifting, like DIRECTLY after. Your glycogen stores are depleted, so you immediately begin burning bodyfat when you perform cardio, instead of 15-20 min of burning through glycogen first.

Why is this in the powerlifting section?
The only advice I could give is to gain 100 lbs and you'll get stronger.

this sounds interesting. in theory it makes sense, but there must be some reason most bodybuilders or strongmen dont train this way. i wonder if you're too likely to start burning muscle this way.

Alright, I respect your opinion. I'm just saying what I know from research I've done (on the specific subject). But maybe I read the wrong thing.
And honestly though, why does everyone have a problem with my age versus advise? Just because I'm young doesn't mean I'm just spewing crap. I've done my fair share of research. Although I've never taken a class or anything, I've read different articles from different people which in my opinion can be better sometimes because you don't get the biased opinions of only one other person rather than being allowed to review all the material and just get straight facts.
I've also been training for 6 years. So I'm not a noob trying to give advise either. That may not be as much as some people, but I think it's enough to be able to give good information.

Cause doing cardio in the morning, with literally nothing in your system, means your body can only draw energy from two things... fat and muscle. Doesn't seem too smart to me.
Actually, I've read that that is the best time too.

If you do low to mild intensity cardio, shouldn't that ensure that you're burning fat that way?

I beleive so from personal experience.
If you do High Intesity you should only do 20 min.
Low intensity no more than 40 min.Anything after that your body
is done burning fat then it will start to burn muscle.
BCAAs is not a bad idea at all.
Ive done cardio on an empty stomach for years and im still getting
stronger and still gaining muscle.
