The INBF has 2 shows per year that do the winner of each weight class and thats the Hercules and Naturalmania, other than that you have to win the overall at the Pro qualifiers. The 2 shows are called super-pro qualifiers due to the fact these two shows draw people from all over the country as well as outside the country, and each weight class ends up with about 10-15 of the top natural competitors from across the country and beyond. The INBF and OCB have the most stringent testing of all the "natural" feds.

Now I have said it before about the NGA, and how they have really let down their so called natural status in my book, when they let all these OTC products that would fail them in the INBF and the OCB, the Superdrols and most of Gaspari products(halodrol and nolvadex-i think that's the spelling)- i eman these products are all low level steroids and are unnatural IMO!

gaspari doesnt make halodrol anymore, they make halodrol liquigels which is nowhere near a steroid

they make novedex xt, which is just an AI.. like ATD

lol if u honestly believe novedex xt will actually make a big difference, if any at all

If you want to take that chance and fail a test or if you just want to compete in the NPC go ahead and take these products, overall its really not worth it. I say don't take anything that the most strict federation won't allow and you will be fine to compete in any federation and never fail any poly, and you will be better off for your own health and stay away from the pro-hormones as well, why risk it.

I had a question about this. I followed the logs/posts of a guy doing the NPC Team Universe and he was using a Gaspari product you mentioned (Halodrol). I tried to find out if this was "legal", but could not find a list of banned substances for the NPC. Are these pro-hormones allowed in the Team Universe?

Comon, the NPC, and Natural in the same sentence haha, thats like an Oxymoron. I know there are guys that are natural and compete in the NPC, but for the most part, one year drug free, thats all the clearance you need to know, so if you can use steroids one year out, probably don't have to worry about any other products.

INBA ABA is the only Organization which is tested by WADDA (Olympic Games Testing) all the other so called Natural Organization are a joke!
INBA/ABA does Blood Testing and Urine testing,we always catch people,every time!!!!!
When was the last time you heard that someone was positive in any of the other Organizations?????

I'm doing my first show in a week and it's NPC, poly tested for 3 years natural and I'm doing drug free for life, which is poly'd as well. I agree that looking at some pics some of these guys belong somewhere else than a natty comp. THey have obviously used steroids, etc., not to take away from their acocmplishments, but a 19 year old with insane muscle maturity, size, etc. is crazy. Unfortunately, there are no other organizations in colorado that do shows, so there's no chance.

I"d love to see orgs that do true tests come to Colorado. I guess it's NPC and learn for now.

An interesting is this forum seems to be predominantly of northern competitors... Well, here are some pics of the competitors down south at my last show... The first pic is Cleveland Thomas, whom I spoke with backstage... He was insanely ripped and weighed only 172 in this pic... Also, the 2nd pic, this guy was a masters competitor and look at how ripped he was.. The pics were poor quality, more veins more showing in person... The 3rd pic is the pro class at the show... Surprised Cleveland Thomas wasn't named in this thread.. Does anyone know of him? He's won several pro shows already...

that may be true...but I also emailed the INBA with question to my use of superdrol back in mid 06, and asked if I needed to wait the whole 3-5 years or if (like the INBF) I could be 2 years ph/ps free and compete, and they said "Superdrol is not banned, just don't use it 6 weeks out from your show"

so whether or not you catch people or use wada standards the fact that somebody could be using over the counter steroids as close to the show as possible as long as they are out of your system by the time you need to tinkle is kinda lame imo.

I like the blood testing, and yeah you guys put on some top shows, but acting as though you have the best testing standards and attacking the other natty organizations only goes to further separate the natural bodybuilding community....

ANYWHO

Dom, as far as the team universe....they only ban illegal anabolic steroids, diurectics etc

anything otc is good to go....and they poly so you can have guys taking otc steroids/prohoromones the DAY of the show....so there ya go

IMO well from what ive seen in person, rob hope is the best natural in the world. this also comes from the mouth of guys like ben tennesson.
Britain has an excellent pedigree for producing world class naturals. the bnbf are taking a team to the olympia this year. im sure they can pick up some silverwear on there trip to greece!!

I remember last year 2 guys in the competition near me won there open class, but didnt win the overall for the Pro Card, they both went up to Canada, won both of there classes again and both recieved Pro Cards

Actually for shows like the Team Universe that are urine tested you would not have to be "clean" for more tha a week depending on what gear you used.

If someone truly wants to compete naturally I would have to agree that the NPC tested shows are really not an even playing field and one would be better off in another org

Like I said probably YES since it is urine tested...........Does anyone have any knowledge on the NPC's position on prosteroids such as Superdrol, Haladrol, etc when it comes to polygraphed shows?

Quelly answered this question below. Seems unfair, but I've trained with guys on gear they can't even place in local shows, and these guys have the genetics but not the discipline or consistency.
I know it's possible to win an IFBB pro card naturally because BOTH Ron Colemans did so.
I train with this Ron Coleman and he continues to get bigger and better all the time (naturally) at 43 yrs old. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/mohr141.htm

my win was actually in 06 at the NPC Philadelphia. For 07 I got my a** handed to me at the NPC PA State Championships. 5th in the open with the other 4 place winners using it at a warm up for the North Americans the following week. That was not fun........ I was pleased with the shape I was in.best so far. Show was just too competitive .........Have to pick my shows a little better in the future LOL

Yes, those are tough shows, but by the looks of your pics I'd think you'd hold your own against the best at nationals.

Ron does plan to compete again. He's training hard and pushing me VERY hard. Keep your eye out for him next year. He's gonna shock some people!
