Anyone done a trip through the Panama Canal ?
A buddy and I have the chance for a trip on a Princess cruise; cut rate deal; for a 10 day cruise that starts in Acapulco and ends up in San Juan. When he found it went through the Panama Canal he signed us both up on the spot. What is the thrill of traveling through the Canal? Anyone done it; any experiences? stories?

My partner has done it several times when he was younger....I think it's just the experiece of going thru it that makes everyone want to try it...The technology is pretty amazing...
I'm on a cruise as we speak...looks like it'll be an inside day...lots of storms in the area....

do you think its weird to 'miss' or be worried about someone you've never met, just chatted to online somewhere like here??
I was like that bout one of the Brit thread members... disappeared off the face of the internet for nearly 2 weeks.... had recently been involved in a car accident too - so I ended up being a bit worried bout the chap! But he was fine.

it's not that weird. since this is the only place we know to find a number of people (unless you traded personal contact info), so when you lose touch--especially if you have had some pretty intimate discussions with them--it is normal to miss them (to a degree).

Well, this is one of the thread i like to spend my time at work browsing because the people in this thread is simply awesom. And sometimes when one of these awesom person is missing then part of the thread feel kinda "missing". Plus, we are family right.... right?
ps. I would probably won't miss if you were gone cloth line, not sure if you are that awesom. :P

I can understand that.. I just thought it odd in a way, but at least I'm not the only one to miss my online family

It is interesting..The whole missing members from the thread or message boards in general. Some I don't actually miss for a personal reason but just to see what they write. I don't know. It is weird you don't realize how long you have been on the thread until it is too late. I think there are only five of the original original members that still post...Cowboy, Miami, trvlr, Thickmass (our longest posting bisexual) and me. The second generation included ibimusbtms and he is still here.
You tend to start to remember details from about their life.
There are a lot of the original members that I miss. Inman, Indy, Pro, 2pound. Even our first bisexual, Kmac. Or good old C hall..Where are our ridiculous stories about prison sex?
There are some that I wonder about like RyanR, the 18 year old from Canada, I think pumpingiron. The leather men from Iowa. Etc...Or good old C hall..Where are our ridiculous stories about prison sex?

The truth is, the vast majority of people who party (in a "circuity" way) are like you and me, we have stable jobs, most fairly well-paying (travelling across the world to party is not cheap), we all have bills/rent/mortgages to pay, most have families to go to on holidays, friends who care about them and live relatively "normal" lives. The cracked-out, tweakers are vastly outnumbered by the rest. Knowing one's limits, and knowing where the road of excess leads to is key in partying responsibly. I will admit that knowing when to stop is sometimes extremely difficult, but you have to be aware that the dangers are there, be they physical, psychological or emotional.

Anyway, my current roommate is kicking me out of the house (long story short - he got engaged and they want me out). I am looking for new roommates via the internet but I was curious if anyone had an opinion on whether I should be seeking out gay or straight roomies?
I have very few gay friends, and I'm not sure how things would turn out if I moved in with other gay guys (especially if they are hot). I have been dating another guy for a little over a month, and things have been going great with us, I don't want to ruin the relationship or make things awkward.
Was just wondering if any of you guys have lived with straight/gay roomies and if it has ever caused any problems? Or if it worked out really well? Or just general opinions on the matter?

I would see what type of person they are interested in having. You can always go to some places like roommates.com. Some straight guys are cool with living with a gay guy. Chick are usually open to it.
I generally prefer straight over the gay. As stereotypical as it sounds unless the gays are older, drama will come. But with that said I have both good and bad experiences with both.
Roommates gay or straight can be a challenge. It isn't about orientation it is about who you can live with. If you are messy don't room with someone that is a clean freak, ect. The odd couple may have been funny on TV but it tends to make for passive agressive bull**** that doesn't work well.

Happy Halloweenie
New Orleans was awesome. I truly love the city. There is such a fun, sexy vibe about the city. All the boys are so flirty and charming.
The parties this year were super. One at the Aquarium and another at a place called the Sugar Mill were excellent. I've never seen such creative and hysterical costumes.
I just love Halloween. It is always a chance to be silly and crazy...which is practically my normal state.
For the record, I was probably more naughty this weekend then any other in my past. It is hard to resist not playing around with a bodybuilder dressed as Spartacus who was going commando and had a hardon underneath his skirt.
Oh the memories of this weekend! The poor staff at the Ritz Carlton are probably still talking about our costumes and then seeing our trashy selves slink back up to our room at 8:00 am all cracked out.

Definitely room with gay dudes, makes life a lot simpler, but its probably better if you aren't into them and they aren't into you.
