Hey, what can I say "pimpin ain't easy!" - seriously that blows about the stomach bug...do you think your prior log had anything to do with it? I'm not meaning the products so much but maybe the amount you were pushing your body (constant PR's), just wore it down, and once you didn't have the extra "assistance" of the supps, your body just decided that it needed to recover and reset? Just throwing it out there, maybe you had some mild food poisoning???

Im not sure if it was related to my previous log, but it could have been a lttle food poisoning along with the flu..lol
But Im over it and have lost very little strength even though I am 10lbs lighter which is pretty cool.
I have never tried Xtend, maybe one day I should

Pre-Log Workout #9 - Back and Cardio
Adding on to what I did last night I started my workout tonight with 30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill, all together my day was rather un-eventful so I was looking forward to having a really good workout.
Cardio
30 minutes on the treadmill, level 5 incline at 3.9 mph.
Deadlifts
10@135
10@225
10@315
8@415
Hammer-Grip Pullups - I'll be rotating grips on these every couple weeks to make sure I'm hitting as many angles as possible.
10@bodyweight
10@BW
10@BW
Wide-Grip Pulldowns - See above...
10@210
10@225
10@240
V-Grip Cable Rows - full stack
20@245
20@245
20@245
Supinating DB Rows
20ea@60
20ea@60
20ea@60
Energy Level: Decent energy thoughtout, nothing off the charts but it was solid, the cardio wiped my out quite abit (I guess that's why I never do it pre-workout) but I was still able to get a pretty good workout in. 8/10
Workout Rating: B, simply due to the fact that cardio wiped me out abit more than I was expecting prior to doing weights, so the actual lifts weren't quite where I would have liked to have seen them.
Post-Workout Musings: It was different doing cardio first, I know ~DD~ likes to do it like that but I don't think it's for me. Most of the time cardio is an afterthought it's the weights that get the most of my energy. And I think I'll keep it that way, or at least do cardio in the mornings or at another point that allows me enough time to recover fully for my weights.
Diet
1 - Morning Blender Shake (Yogurt, fruit, protein)
2 - 2 scoops protein w/ water
3 - 8 oz Beef w/ spinach and tomato noodles.
4 - Same as 2
WORKOUT
5 - 4 scrambled egg whites, w/ splenda & cinnamon
Water intake: I didn't keep track but I estimate it to be around 6L.

Unfortunately there was no workout yesterday as I ended up working a little at work and then I had to run off to drive out to a neighboring town for my team's hockey game (FYI...we won! 2-1-1 at the moment) and by the time I got home the gym was already closed. I mean really who closes a gym at 8pm on Friday. But now I'm in a little dilemma, I had won some tanning sessions from a radio competition, and now a lady at work wants to trade the sessions for a year membership at a local gym. The gym is way across the city, it's not a bad gym, not really great though, but the real problem is that we wouldn't be able to afford a membership for ~DD~ there. The second aspect of this dilemma is that the gym that I used to go to (decent gym, close to home) opend up again recently, under a new name, with a new owner, but still the exact same setup and equipment. I haven't went in there yet but I want to go find out how much $$$ a membership is.
I haven't decided what to do yet, but in the new year I get a taxable spending account the can be used for a gym membership if I want.

I really don't understand why the gym would close at 8:00 PM on a Friday night. Guess they don't have hardcore people. Mawsons closes at 8:00 on Sat and Sun though.
And I say go with second option if the price is good.. Screw the old woman at work! (Not literally)

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards, just do to the fact that it's closer. Lately we've barely had an extra minute to spare so I can't see me leaving work driving one way to pick ~DD~ up and then turning around driving back past work and halfway across the city to this other gym. As well, my old gym was close enough that I could go there at 5am and get cardio in before I went to work.
P.S. Happy belated B-Day..

Getting ready to hit the gym in a little less than an hour (Hamstrings, triceps). I took some pics this morning (as there are some sponsorship deals and some online contests out there that I was considering) and although I've been having some good workouts lately, I'm not really seeing the progress that I would've liked out of the last couple months. As I have committed to doing this log I'm not going to be making any actual changes at the moment, but have you ever had the feeling of "WTF have I been doing for the last little while....?" I mean maybe I was having a bad morning but man, I looked at those photos and said to myself, "Sh*t, you can't post those online you look like F'in Porky the Pig!!" ~DD~, of course being the great companion she is, was like, "the pics don't even look like you, you look totally different in real life..".
That's all well and good, but me being the goal oriented person I am (see 5'6's log) it looks like I'm going to miss a couple of the short term goals I set for myself. I'm thinking right now that, although I have the commitment, I'm lacking the direction. I know about lifting and I know about diet and supplementation, but I'm not sure that I'm bringing it all together properly (that's a science in itself). I've been looking at hiring a prep coach again, but I'm not sure I have the money for that. I mean, really, I should be able to get it all down myself, as there is soooo much information out there that's readily available, but maybe that's the problem itself, there's sooo much information out there. I dunno, just batting around some ideas, since I'm not going to meet a couple of those ST goals, I have to re-evalulte and re-set (as per my system). Still going to go kill my hams and tri's, get my cardio in put the effort/intensity in there, maybe I'll take so more pics tomorrow morning, maybe it's just "that time of the month..." J/K.... LOL!

Thanks for stopping by...unfortunately I'm still in "pre-log" mode as I am still waiting for the X-Factor to arrive, I'm thinking that it might be held up at the border at the moment because I've received numerous confirmation's that it was already shipped. The actual log will be for 60 days give or take a couple, and I've been advised that dosing should be 3-4 pills of X-Factor spaced evenly throughout the day, with 1 Mass FX in the morning, 1 at lunch and 2 pre-workout. The Mass FX at this dose will only last 30 days (have a single bottle) but there should be enough X-factor to continue the log for the following 30 days. Hopefully, it arrives soon because I really want to get into the meat and bones of this log, I'm not going to get upset about the shipping though because after all, these are free products!!!!

So here's my Hams and Triceps workout with some calves and cardio tossed in, I'm currently watching some W5 and they're talking about sourcing ingredients from China.....Please forgive me if there's some typing mistakes, this sh*t is interesting...
Hamstring Curls - I made a mistake last week it should have shown these numbers....got a little ahead of myself...
20@105
14@115
12@125
8@135
Stiff-Legged Deadlifts
15@135
12@185
10@225 - haven't went this heavy on these for quite awhile!!
Standing Single-leg Ham. Curls ss w/ Single Leg Sled Calf Press
12ea@45 ss w/ 20ea@200
12ea@45 ss w/ 20ea@220
12ea@45 ss w/ 20ea@240
Skullkrusher ss w/ Close-grip Bench Press - Using an Olympic Barbell
15@95 ss w/ 20@95
12@115 ss w/ 20@115
12@125 ss w/ 15@125
Upright Dips - Just using bodyweight.
12@BW
12@BW
12@BW
Bench Dips
20@BW - the burn after this was INTENSE!!!
15@BW
12@BW
Cardio
45 minutes on the treadmill on a level 4 incline at 3.8 MPH
Energy Level: For the first time in awhile I can really say that it was sun-par....too much stressing about tests (my own) and ~DD~'s schooling (she's crazy swamped right now) as well as work (need a new job), etc. Plus the fact that I missed on 2 goals I had set for myself, the whole thing got me down a bit. 4/10
Workout Rating: B+, Surprisingly even though I was "down" and not very energetic, I had a decent workout, of course with endorphins rushing through my body I'm feeling a little bit better at the moment, we'll see if that last when I re-do pictures tomorrow morning.
Post-Workout Musings: I have to stop letting thing beyond my control affect me. Basically, I have to just refocus and re-evalute/re-set my short term goals (this is one of the systems I use to gauge progress and motivate myself). That being said, I still "made" myself have a good workout, and as long as I can keep doing that I'm sure things will fall into place.
Diet
1 - Morning Blender Shake (Yogurt, fruit, protein)
2 - 2 scoops protein w/ water
3 - Barley and rice soup - roughly a cup's worth
4 - Same as 2
WORKOUT
5 - 8oz Ground Beef Patty (1 egg and a bit of oatmeal tossed in with the beef to keep it all together), 1 and 1/2 cups of shredded broccolli salad.
Water intake: 4.5 litres today.

The first ones are laying down on a standard hamstring curl machine, the second group are standing on another cable machine (that's all the gym has)
Hitting the gym in about 15 minutes for a shoulders, abs and cardio workout. I have to coach a hockey game tomorrow night, and I have to get some more studying in before Friday so I'm not sure if I'll lift yet. We'll see how the day and the studying go. I actually got alot of studying done this weekend!
EDIT: A little O/T but I applied for the MAP sponsorship today...LOL...I've seen some of the guys that they've already signed up for this thing, and man, I am definitely not at their level...yet.... but I thought, no big deal, can't hurt to apply, the worst they can do is say no....LOL

Shoulders, Abs and Cardio
Another full day in the library studying the nervous system, the spinal cord/spinal nerves and the brain. Interesting stuff, I just wish I could focus on that and not have to worry about work *OR* work in a field that involves such information. I'm really finding that I like insurance less now than when I started and I'm really becoming more interested in anatomy and physiology. I would really like to get more involved in this field, specifically in relation to sports, training and nutrition/supplementation. They say to be successful you have to do something you really enjoy and I think this area is where I want to be.
Overhead Press ss w/ Upright Row
10@135/10@135
10@155/10@155
10@135/10@135 - was quite upset at these, I just didn't have it today...
Lateral Raise Drop set
10@45's ss w/ 10@20's

10@45's ss w/ 10@25's
Seated DB Press
12@60's
15@60's
15@60's - got a few more here, probably because I didn't get as much in my first presses.
Bent Over Raise
15@45's
15@4s's
15@45's
Machine Shrugs - used a bench press machine because that's all I could get on.

20 reps ss w/ 20 reps
20 reps ss w/ 20 reps
Cardio
30 Minutes on the treadmill, level 4 incline at 3.9 MPH
15 Minutes on the reuncumbant bike, random hill setting at level 5.
Energy Level: Not too bad tonight I was actually excited to get into the gym after spending the whole day in the library (AGAIN!!!), even after having the first exercise not quite where I wanted it to be I still hand lots of energy to keep going (just not in that exercise) 7.7/10
Workout Rating: A, Ended up with a pretty good workout despite the above. Got a good pump in the shoulder's, a good burn in the Abs, and ripped off some solid cardio managing to get a pretty good sweat on.
Post-Workout Musings: I can't wait until this week is over! Not so much the week but I just want to get the upcoming tests over with so that I can ease off on the studying for a little while. It's becoming a full-time job (too bad I already have one). Maybe I'll take Friday off just to focus on the tests and get the last little bit of studying in. I have the holiday's still and I don't have anything else planned for them??
Diet
Oatmeal and 3 protein shakes today and then a protein pancake (homemade) after the workout, so not too much to say about the diet for today.
Supplements
Pre-Workout: 1 scoop Ragnarok with water
Intra-Workout: 3 scoops Xtend with water
Post-Workout: 1 scoop Protein (in the protein pancake)
Water intake: 6 litres

My team lost tonight so to punish myself for bad coaching I just finished an hour and 15 minutes cardio. No weights tonight...I also have practice tomorrow right after work so tomorrow night I'll be doing chest and bi's, thus saving the leg workout for Wednesday when I don't have to skate...
30 minutes on the treadmill, level 5 incline at 3.9 MPH
15 minutes on the reincumbant bike, random hills setting, level 5
30 minutes on the treadmill, level 5 incline at 3.8 MPH (I was getting tired)
3 scoops of watermelon Xtend in a 1.5 litre bottle kept me going for the length of it.
I also received another package today, and to my surprise it was my second order of Xtend (2 tubs of Lemon), along with some Dialene 4 samples. BB.com musta rushed that one cause it got here in a hurry! No X-Factor though...... .....It's going to be one helluva day when it gets here!!

That would be 4 tubs (the smaller ones) 2 watermelon and 2 lemon, but as soon as the funds are back in place I'm thinking about 2 grape and 2 apple as well.....just to keep me stocked up for awhile....

So I went to the gym tonight with full intentions of just doing cardio again as after hockey practice I was feeling extremely wiped out (I've been running around so much lately I don't think I've been getting enough actual rest). But when I got there it was like I was ready to have an anxiety attack about not touching the weights for two nights in a row.... So to make a long story short, I lifted a few weights before doing cardio (not what I'd call a full workout but just a few lifts).
Bench Press: 20@135, 20@185, 20@205, 20@225
Barbell Curl: 10@45, 10@65, 10@85, 10@105, 8@125, 5@145
DB Flyes: 15@40, 12@45, 10@50
DB 'down the rack' Curls: (10@45, 10@35, 10@25) x 2 sets, with 2 finishing sets of seated Incline db curls: 15@20, 15@20
30 minutes on the treadmill, level 4 incline, 3.9 MPH - stupid thing kept on shocking me, really pissed me off.

Yeah, that might be my final option, but who knows I'm gonna give a few more days and then see what's up. Yeah, I like how ~DD~ took just enough time away from studying to toss a quick burn at me and then back she goes to work.
P.S. Don't be sorry we appreciate the compliments!!
