This absolutely builds muscle. Tom Platz had the freakiest wheels ever and he would do very high reps. He could move a ton of weight but also concentrated on reps.

Question

Nothing against these guys and their training style, but I go to the gym to get a good pump, feel good, progress by one more rep or more weight, not to puke. If I am gonna puke it better be after some deserved alcohol consumption, but puking from exercising which is supposed to be making you healthier...well I don't see how that can be good.

Maybe it's just the body's response and it is not doing any damage...? Someone educate me if I am wrong. The body pukes to tell us it's had enough whether it is food or alcohol, or to clean impurities out of our system, so...I don't know. Like I said, maybe I am ignorant to this, but it just does not look good when I see someone puke at the gym, if that is "intensity", I disagree.

Milos

No wonder guys like Dennis Wolfe are placing so high, this video is intense. Milos is the man, he is proably the most hardcore trainer in bodybuilding. I saw him in NYC for the NY Night of Champions and he is still big.

Train hard or go home

Try it some time, I think you'll be surprised. Front squats, squats, lunges, leg press, lunges, leg extensions, that's 6 straight sets with modest weight in a row... performed three times with 30-45 second "rest" periods, it's a freakin' nightmare to finish the last set/s. I did it for four weeks in a row on leg day and my strength had improved when I returned to a more traditional approach.

I think some of you guys are just scared ****less that you're going to bonk before you can finish... either that or you're afraid that you'll look silly moving "light weight" around while looking for all the world like you just squatted 500 for reps

tell serge nubret this form of training doesn't build muscle.

most dramatic changes to my physique have come since adopting a short rest, moderate weight, high rep/set training.

Simplely, steroids will allow you to make gains even with "fad" reshemes and unorthadox methodology to training. As a natural you have to nail your training every single time; lifting more **** heavy weight & reps each time, then resting. Im an advocate of 20rep squats but that is still moderately heavy and of low volume.

For those that use platz/serge as an example, I'll be more inclined to take advice from a 220lb natural with good legs, than platz/serge/milos.

Maybe it's just the body's response and it is not doing any damage...? Someone educate me if I am wrong. The body pukes to tell us it's had enough whether it is food or alcohol, or to clean impurities out of our system, so...I don't know. Like I said, maybe I am ignorant to this, but it just does not look good when I see someone puke at the gym, if that is "intensity", I disagree.
c'mon gimme a break! since when do pro BB's train 2 get healthy? U rather puke after sum deserved alcohol consumption? Yea THATS healty!(cuz alcohol DOESNT damage the body right)..I rather puke after exhausting my body from an "kickass" workout than fillin my body with sum toxic substance and then puke! (and I have done this routine..and hell yea Ive puked once or twice)..yea you feel like **** for a while and can barely stand after, but when I get home I cant w8 to do it again! awesome pump and when I can finally flex my legs after a few days..the results are there LOL

Ofcourse you wont see ur average joe puking at the gym after doin sum "hardcore" 10lbs curls. But incase you havnt noticed...you dont get 2 be a pro by bein affraid 2 push your body 2 the extreme!

Jus my 2 cents!

well thats something that works for serge...Milos is showing another intense way of training...and no its not unhealthy to train this way like some of the morons that posted before...this is pure high intensity training that completely break the muscle down. Just look at the guy, he's obviously doing something right. So if it worked for him and you are willing to train that way then go for it. If not go back into the forums and check something else out.

First off, I would never want to puke after consuming alcohol and I never have by the way, and never will. I drink once in a blue moon, and no kidding it's toxic...all I am saying is then THE BODY HAS A REASON TO PUKE because it is releasing toxic chemicals and impurities from the body.

I played football for a few years, did two a days in florida during high summer heat, 3 hours (7-9am), then I did weight training for 1hr and 30mins (12-2p), then second practice for 3 hours til late evening, I think I have an idea of what a hardcore workout is, however I have never puked, I don't know if it has to do with what you can take or if it is a genetic thing maybe, or maybe I wasn't working out hard enough...right.

All I was saying is the body has a reason to puke when it is taking in impurities, but not when it is working out, and I never mentioned bodybuilders or people who take steroids, I am talking in general, I do not condone what they do, but it is their choice. I was mentioning the average natural joe, like me. I believe most work out to be healthy and look good and to feel good. I was also not comparing this to someone training to be a pro, so I suppose Dorian Yates and Ronnie Coleman, Lee Priest all do this style of training, they puke to get to the top?

Sure they have extremely high volume and intense workouts, but nothing as the things shown on Milos' video. You DO NOT HAVE TO PUKE to reach the top or even risk injury to your internal organs by taking it to the extreme as these guys do often it seems. It's like, and this is an example, drinking to puke every night, no one does that.

What are you on about? how can you be talkin bout people in general when this is the pro BB section and this vid IS about PRO BB's? And ofcourse they arent puking their way2 the top, thats jus a silly thing 2 say! NO not every pro does this same workout but ask ANY pro..I assure you EVERY1 of them has puked after or during an INTENSE workout!
Injury 2 ur internal organs? c'mon..its jus puke! you puke when ur sick, drink 2much,eat 2 fast or 2 much! theres nothin wrong with it! like they puke every hour of every day..!I rather puke once a week from an intense workout..!than puke every weekend after a drinking bindge! (which alot of guys rather do) get serious man!

I've tried this workout before. Almost killed me. It's not something you can do regularly, IMO. Def. a great shock routine, though. You get 2 exercises in and you almost want to get embarassed because of the weight you're lifting.

So now from just a few simple youtube videos, we can see why this guy is a forgotten pro that has to charge $500 to train people...

And Ronnie is an 8 time Mr. Olympia:

Well seeing as he trains pro bodybuilders...yes it IS perfect for them. lol

Some of them anyways. Johnie Jackson brought up his legs with that training with Milos so obviously it does work for some people.

x2
and Milos has already said that this is for experienced bodybuilders, not beginners. This is for people who already have a good base of strength and size.
