I'll take you up on that offer Moisy! I can sure use some pointers from an "old pro".
GG, I did inquire on Friday but haven't heard back yet. Absolutely! Bathroom demolishing is worth 1,000 calories for every 15 minutes I think. Especially if the cats are "helping". I was thinking of just going back to bb anyway, but I think dbs might be evening up the strength in both arms or something. With the bb I can always lift more on one end and make it lighter for my weaker arm.
Yeah Tara, entertaining if you like seeing teenage boys give each other advice about sex, like I do. (no homo) (no pedo) (no cougar) LOL. And it's a good way to get into a fight - just ask Joe. I only read, I don't type!
Right Joe? What am I doing this weekend? Just building muscle and the usual old folks boring stuff. Went all the way down to the rec room to watch a movie last night. Ha ha. I sleep in till 8 on the weekends, then do my workout with cardio after, come home shower & eat and the day's half shot! And thanks for the compliment.

Nice to see us both on here at the same time
We are both basically doing the same thing today ... I slept in a little, did my workout, showered, shopped and am now relaxing reading everyone's journals
Maybe next weekend when we see one another at the gym, we can try those DBs deadlifts together. I will try to work it so my leg day is on one of the days ... and if not, who cares we will just do them anyhow!!!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Well, I didn't get to go shopping! I went to work instead and installed a new program. That needs to be done when nobody is at work. I suggested to DH that we go to the States for a couple of days and do some shopping there since our dollar is high right now.
Yesterday was a rest day and this morning was like so:
Incline DB Press 15x15, 17.5x15,15,15
Incline DB Flyes 17.5x15,15,15,15
Flat DB Chest Press 25x12,13,11
DB Side Laterals 7.5x12,12,12,12
Seated Cable Rows 80x15,12,12,12
DB Shoulder Press 15x15,15,12,12 (lowered from 17.5 cuz my neck & shoulder have been creaking and aching every time I do these)
35 min. Stepper Level 14, Fat Burn Plus = 336 calories.
Tomorrow's legs!

Ha ha Joe! It's just you & me eh? Nope, I'm not taking a long weekend. My journal is just too boring even for me these days!
Yesterday was R&R. This morning I did chest & shoulders and burned 347 calories on the stepper. I felt pretty strong too for some strange reason. Oh yeah, I know. . . it was the day of Rest! LOL.
Edit: Oops, sorry Joan! Didn't realize how long it's been. What's going on? Is your whole town/community having $ troubles? I hope it gets sorted out soon!

Week 6, Day 1
Oh Twinney, it's all in the music! My favourite right now is Do It by T.I. (Big sh!t poppin). The last part is something like " let the losers worry about losing." Ha ha. I just try to keep my feet going in time to the music.
Golfy, we've never seen your legs! C'mon, let's see what you're complaining about.
This week is the same as week 3, but different from all the rest. And . . . we got some new cardio equipment. I used one tonight like an elliptical with an incline function. Your knees are bent and it's a bit more like climbing than gliding.
This morning was 5 sets of 6:
DB Chest Press - 30 #
BB Rows - 55
DB Shoulder Press - 22.5
Seated DB Curls - 20
Rope Pressdowns - 65
After work I went home and ate a rubber steak, then back to the gym for 3 sets of knee lifts and 40 minutes cardio which burned up 436 calories.

don't worry, I've been thinking the same thing about mine too.
I'd love to see that eliptical thing you described...sounds tuff and fun!
Just how many cals are in a rubber steak ?

Leg Day
Heh heh, it was kinda scary the 1st time. It started off gliding away by itself and after a minute something felt wrong. I looked down and saw my feet had slid off the pedals and I was standing on air.
Here's what up this morning:
Leg curls 120x6, 125x6x4
Squats 225x6x5 (PB)
Leg Extensions 165x6, 172.5x6x4 (PB)
1 Legged Press 90x20x3
Calf Raises - thought I'd do them after work and oops, forgot!!
After work:
U/R bike 20 min. = 234 calories
Stepper 25 min. = 239 calories
Joan, there aren't as many calories in a rubber steak as there are in a tasty one that you actually swallow.

Well look for me darlin, I will be the one working my booty off to prep Noz for the stage. We actually have a friend competing in figure so I think I will be prepping her as well, I could make this a business, lol. Need someone to prep you at your next comp?? I seem to be getting a lot of business! Do you still have my cell number? I will send it to you in private message so you can call me when you get there and we can meet up and catch up.
Hope all is well with you and I will see you next weekend!
Take care of you!

Hi Leen, I'm only going down for the prejudging again. DH doesn't want to go and I don't want to drive home at night. I'll definately call you if I don't see you in the audience. How's Noz holding up? This must be a pretty stressful week at your house. I'm looking forward to seeing you!
Yeah GG, Arc Trainers. I never knew what they were when Barbie was talking about them. LOL.
Thanks Joe! I dun well with that workout. Weeks 3 and 6 are mostly 6 reps and the rest of them are mostly 12-15, so I was able to go heavier. I like this program!
Well Moisy, I thought you were describing the same machine I was talking about. Ha ha. I haven't tried the other one yet. But they took away the little stepper that I liked to warm up on. Grrrr. I don't think anyone else ever used it.
Golfy, I hope you remembered your ID this time.
I got my next 6 week program! Huge difference in the diet. Looks like a cutting diet to me, and gone from 6 meals to 5. Boo Hoo.

Golf Girl: Uh, noooo. Those were seated leg curls. Now I'm the wimp!!
So, Friday was 5 sets each:
Incline DB Press 22.5 +25
Pec Dec Flyes 75 down to 60
DB Shoulder Press 20 + 22.5
Preacher Curls 30+35 EZ bars
Seated Tricep Pushdowns 30+35
4 sets of crunches
P.M. was Step Class
I weighed 117 which was down 1/4. That's okay I only started this cutting diet on Tuesday.
Yesterday was Legs:
5 sets of 6:
DB Deadlifts 50
Leg Press 250
Leg Curls (Prone) 65 + 60 (just for you GG )
3 sets of walking lunges with 30# dbs
30 min. on the stepper for 333 calories
Today was R&R and it was a really nice surprise to sleep in till 9 then get up and find out it was actually 8.
I had a fun day yesterday. I drove to the city (about an hour) then took the subway down to see a bodybuilding competition. Leen's husband was in it and he did great. Leen is a brunette now and she looks great too. It was very inspiring to watch, and to pick out the little things that figure competitors were doing on stage that I should either emulate or avoid. I only watched the pre-judging though. I've done that a few times by myself. Next time I have to find someone to go with me to see the nightshow!

Aww Jeez, let me get my adding machine out GG!
Let's go together then Tara!
Yesterday's News:
5 sets of 6 -
Bench Press 80 (did it but it was too heavy)
BB Rows 55
DB Shoulder Press 22.5 + 20
Seated DB Curls 17.5 + 20
Rope Press Down 65
After work I did 5 sets of crunches and 35 min. on the stepper. Forgot to write down how many calories.
This morning I just had to check the scale again. 115 1/2. I don't want to lose it too fast!
Again, 5 sets of 6:
Leg Curls 125
Squats 205
Low Cable Curls (Seated Cable) 95 + 90
Lat Pulldowns, med. grip 95
Calf Raises 120 x8,8,8,9,10 (just cuz I know it ain't right to do sets of 6 calf raises - hee hee)
After work 35 min. on the Precor for 315 calories.
And tomorrow is another Rest & Recuperate day!
