You can't. As far as im concerned though, everyone is an athlete. Whether they choose to be "enhanced" or not is a personal choice. There is no point in designating which is better as far as being natural or not, its just a choice.

As you saw in the video clip, I went from 135 pounds when I started training in 1977 as a high school freshman to 230 pounds when I was 21 years old. That's all natural, no steroids at all. That's almost 100 pounds on a skinny kid. I wasn't ripped at 230 but I was big and bulky. The way I did it was by training very hard and heavy using the basic exercises you'll see on this dvd: Bench presses, incline presses, squats, leg press, stiff-leg deadlifts, seated db presses, shrugs, barbell rows, chins, deadlifts, barbell curls, dips, skull-crushers, etc, etc. I also ate A LOT of good bodybuilding food but that's going to be my next dvd.
Many young guys that I have seen training in gyms over the years don't use the right mass building exercises and they don't go heavy enough OR they are using the right exercises but they are training TOO heavy and they are using such improper form that they are not training the muscles effectively. Trust me, you will pick up a wealth of knowledge from watching this dvd if you have any doubts about how to train to get big. If you want even more in-depth information, check out my book, "Natural Bodybuilding" which is crammed with 300 pages on training and nutrition for the natural bodybuilder.

Simple movements
Hi Mr. Natural O,
You look great, and refreshing to see that you're natural all the way. I couldn't compliment you more for what you have proved. I was wondering, short of seeing your DVD, if simple movements provided you with more mass than trying new and complex machines. Simple powerlifting exercises, bench, squat and deadlift have given me the most mass, but not as much definition as I would like. How much balance do you need between heavy sets and lighter sets for definition and tone?

I'm negging both of you for even discussing torrenting this guys movie in his own thread. This is along the same lines as talking about downloading music from your favorite band, right in front of them, because you can't afford the CD. Have some respect.

Obviously being ripped comes from low BF. But in essence there are two types of lifting. 1) for mass 2) for shape. For example you might do tricep pushdowns for size, but you might do a reverse grip or something that requires you to use less weight to get a better shape. I think that you need both to achieve the ideal physique. Too many guys have disproportionate muscles because they do power movements all the time. In my opinion, powerlifters do NOT have the ideal physique.
