When I was coming back, I got tagged with trail party Security NCOIC, so I had to go down to Kuwait for an extra few weeks, pack up the Strykers, secure all the weapons, and I ended up coming back a few weeks late.
At least I was in Kuwait thogh. Welcome back home bruthah!

That is the worst/dumbest possible duty you could ever get put on. Right next to Area Beautification Supervisor.
I just came back a few months ago, when we got to Kuwait I almost got stuck on that, but I was the only left that could do my job for my unit. Obscure knowledge FTW over getting put on details.

I think the fact that there are people that can stand up be against what we do and still be alive and free, shows that we are doing our job, and doing it correctly.

Very true, the sad thing is that to many people in the States take their freedom for granted, to many really don't know what they have (Freedom). Also, these are the people that watch to much TV and listen to only the bad stuff going on in the world.
Worse is that the young of today are picking up on it too, only going with the negative views on the situations going on in the world. They are also getting the wrong impression about our own military ... thinking that we are all door-kickin', trigger happy, civilian killers.
I've heard so many stories about how our recruiters are basically being ran out of schools and colleges now.
Hopefully it does take another 9/11 to open their eyes again, since it seems they are starting to close them and look the other way.
