Week 1: I weighed in at 180lbs at 10% body fat so I had 18lbs of fat on me.
Week 5: I weighed in at 187lbs at 6% body fat.
I lost 7.2lbs fat, but gained 14.2lbs to get all the way up to 187lbs.
Currently I have regularly been weighing in at 190lbs and my body fat is lower,
only I don't know what it is. My guess is that I am at about 6% and have
gained a total of 17lbs and lost a total of 7-8lbs body fat in 7 weeks.

Posterboy for the Pencilneck Crowd
I thought I'd posted these before, but I guess I was mistaken.
Me at 15 (not even 100 lbs)
Me at 30 (lifting, but no focus on bodybuilding, about 165)
Me about 35 (started bodybuilding around now, about 195)
Me at 41 (240 earlier this year and growing)

Hulkinout...those pics are something. I mean you looked pretty thin as a kid yet as an adult you appear to have a natural propensity for muscle gain. Your chest alone is so thick. Thanks for sharing

Thanks, Steve! "Thin" is an understatement; people thought I had consumption or something like that. :-P
Once, after doing a play, someone came up to my director and asked, "that talented thin boy...is he sickly?"

keep it up man!
here is what i have learned, hope it helps
i have found that if you focus on nutrition you will get the best gains... you can lift all you want, but if you are not eating healthy.... YOU WILL NOT GAIN AS EFFECTIVELY! supposably your diet is 60% of your physique
- eat chicken and vegies
- take at least 4 supplements
- protein 200g per day
- createin morning and night
- glutamine - morning and night (NO MORE THAN RECOMMENDED ON BOTTLE! otherwise it turns into ammonia and that's not healthy for ya)
- Amino Acids, and a multi vitamin
- give up drinking alcohol (kills protein synthesis)
- give up fast food (horrible for you)
- give up soda (horrible for you)
- give up junk food (horrible for you)
- give up sweets (horrible for you)
- limit eating out to just eating chicken fish or seafood or healthy alternatives while eating out
- only eat 100%whole wheat breads, no exceptions
- give up thinking that food is something that should taste good and accept the fact that food is consumed because it creates energy and nothing more
the best advice i was given was from a stranger "if you really want it then nothing is too extreme, you can do anything you set out to do if you want it bad enough" - in response to me asking the guy how he manages to eat 7 healthy meals a day
nothing is too hard, its just a question of how dedicated you are to getting to your goal
last and i believe most importantly - set a goal for yourself to get to by a particular date that contains numerical values... eg. goal weight, size, look, strength... and then tell 1,000,000 people (strangers, friends, family...) EVERYONE you know so that when that date comes you not only have to something to prove to yourself, but everyone else you told! Great way to stay motivated. good luck

Oh man, unless you have this posted before or are tired of telling it...what was the change? A slow proceess or just hit a growth spurt...puberty..or was it that experiment that ransformed Steve Rogers into Capt America? I ask this too because many young guys here are thin and have more trouble gaining then a heavy person slimming down...maybe it would help them.

It's really happened in spurts, usually once I've made a major change in my routines, like changing from medium to lower reps or adding moves like traditional deadlifts. My legs were ok from the beginning and they seemed to be the only group that seemed to grow more muscular at first. I put on size throughout, but I didn't seem to add much muscle to my upper body at the outset. For the first decade that I lifted, I had no aspirations toward bodybuilding either; I was completely convinced I didn't have the ability to do anything beyond having an "average" body.
Then, right around 9-11, I had a "WTF" moment and just decided to jump in. You only live once, ya know?
But it's definitely happened in spurts followed by fallow periods. My trick has been finding changes drastic enough to kickstart growth momentum, which often involved going against commonly-accepted bodybuilding principles.
The rules are: there ain't no rules.
Live Large and grow LARGER!

I'm with effortiskey, MH wins the prize for "most hulked-out neck." Cause you look big in your regular shots, but in those where you flex your neck and traps you look frickin HYOOOOOGE.
I can only imagine what you're gonna look like in a couple years.

Dude, I frickin complemented you earlier. Where did you even get the idea I was trying to make fun of you? Did you even LOOK at my post before making a completely erroneous leap of logic? The photo I commented on was UKPowerlifter, not you and was not even meant to be taken seriously.
Sheesh..learn to check your facts before attacking someone.
