You know, I knew an Armenian family when I was in Colorado. They sorta took me under their wing. The old man was actually born in Turkey, he spoke Turkish. The woman was born in Argentina to Armenian immigrants from Turkey. She spoke Turkish. Their sons were born in Colorado. They all spoke Turkish at home. Not perfect, but a very clear and understandable Turkish. Their meals and traditions are also very similar to ours. One thing we never did was to discuss what happened during/after WWI...It was better that way.
Culturewise, Armenians are very close to us, just like Greeks are.
Also, there is a big Azerbaijani Turk community in CA too. It would be cool to meet some. I had a few Azerbaijani Turk friends in high school in Turkey. They were all good guys.

I'm sure it's like that but unfortunately I've yet to meet one Armenian that wasn't hostile towards me right off the bat....it's all just sad bull.
But Azeris are so...so "cana yakın" man, they're awesome people.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. That happened to me a few times too. This one kid in my freshman yr history class in college found out I was Turkish, he immediately raised his hand and said he wanted to speak about the "Armenian Genocide". He didn't know his facts, and I did, so I was able to shut him up real fast in a short but heated debate...

Ben Arnavut gocmeni olarak istanbulluyum. memleket kosova. istanbulda oturuyrum burda okula gidiyorum yıldız teknik'te elektrik muhendisliği okuyorum. 5.senemama insallah bu sene bitecek.....

Benim, Turkiye'de, lisede sira arkadasim Arnavut misafir ogrenciydi. En iyi arkadasimdi. Simdi Arnavutluk'ta bir Turk muhendislik firmasinda calisiyor.

aslında daha karar vermedim. gerci kanada'ya permanent residence kazandım ama artık hayırlısı olsun.
yazın kuraklık yuzunden baya su sıkıntısı yasandı ama su an oyle bir sorun yok.
