Not seeing results!! WHY?! Help me please!
Hello all!!
My goal is to lose 5 lbs, and for the past 2 weeks I have been eating approx. 1300 calories ( 300 below my maintenance) and running 2-4 miles a day. Here is the thing... I have not lost ONE STINKING POUND!! What gives? I am still eating carbs, but all good ones to fuel my runs. My daily diet looks sort of like this:
1/3 C oats, w/ 1 scoop Isopure protein
SouthBeach meal bar OR 1 slice ezekial toast, w/ 1 lrg apple
8oz soy latte and 1 lrg apple
Large garden salad w/ low cal dressing, 1 bag smartpop popcorn
4oz chicken breast and vegies
Garden salad and 1 apple
I can see it's alot of carbs, but I am focused on running right now, and thought weight loss mostly had to do with calories in, vs calories out??! Can anyone help me understand what I need to change?! I feel like I'm trying really hard, and not seeing any results! THANK YOU!!!

I was wondering till I read your stats. 5' 9" and 125? Why do you need to lose any weight? I cant imagine it would be fat as your probably sub 7% if you have any muscle tone at all.
Have you considered possible any lifting? Lifting will help with burning fat....
Can you provided a little more insight into what the purpose is and your body type for helping any further?

Dude, you need a complete makeover...I'm not sure of your goals, either.
your reduction in calories combined with running is first degree murder on your metabolism.
Diet: carb cycling. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/par30.htm
Training: weightlifting at least three days a week...full body workouts.
Whether you are male or female, this is what you need to do to LOOK GOOD...
CARDIO IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR BODY RECOMPOSITION!!!!
edit: I just saw your forum pictures and did not know you were female. YOu look Awesome!! I would use carb cycling to get the 5lbs off...even though I don't think you need to

I just checked your pictures, you look great. You should add some healthy fats to your diet, I don't see any except a few grams in the South Beach bar.

WAIT 125 and u want to lose weight
1300 calories?
u are not only depriving ur body of nutrition u are LITERALLY STARVING URSELF DUDE!
at 5'9 125.. read it up in a psychology class u are listed as underweight and almost anorexic.. that is not a normal human weight 120 at 5'9 bro..
im underweight at 140 for a 5'8 person
what are u thinking?
who cares about ur diet u need to start eating.. and if u want to lose weight u have serious mental problems
by the way.. not enough complex carbs.. only oats in there and ezekiel bread
u need HEALTHY FATS! U HAVE NONE!.. drop some of the fruit and add complex carbs
try to get more of a variety for lean protein sources and inclujde one in every meal
i would also have a casein protein + fat source before bed

I just looked at your photos and I dont think losing more weight is going to give you the look you are going for if you want to look fit and in shape. I actually think a plain 5 lbs loss would make you look a little skeletal. I think lifting weights is probably a better course of action and build shape. Im not trying to be mean at all but you look very lean already. I agree with the guy above me about adding some healthy fats into your diet also.

First off I think you look fantastic, in fact you might be nearing the end of the rope for available weight loss. Those last 5LBS are going to be tough, if even possible. Hit some weights and don't worry about the scale, the mirror is your best guide. Good luck!

Losing 5 lb not a good idea . . .
I think some of the replies were made thinking ur a guy, LOL.
At 125 lb & 69" ur BMI* is 18.5, on the low end of the "normal" range of BMI 4 adult females (18.0 to 24.0). 120 lb would mean a BMI of 17.7, which would be considered "underweight" so I wouldn't advise that.
That's another reason u r having trouble dropping ur weight, it's already at rock bottom. Very nice slender feminine look BTW!
*BMI = Body Mass Index = weight in kg/square of height in meters

Me 2.
It has been 2 weeks, and I dont see my body weight drops too. I think it is because I am adding muscle mass, and losing some body fat, so my body weight is unchanged.
In the mirror, I see improvement though
Give it for another 2 weeks. U will reach ur goal.

From the sound of it, all you are doing is cardio?
Try doing some weightlifting, don't worry, it won't make you look like a super buff bodybuilder (unless that was your goal). In my opinion from the pics you put up, you look fantastic, some lifting will definitely put more definition to your already great figure.
Don't be a slave to the scale, the mirror is a more accurate representation of results.

I just looked at your pictures and TRUST ME - you do not need to lose 5 pounds. You look great, and this is coming from a guy that gags at even the slightest hint of chubbyness on a girl.

I agree with the posters above. If your looking for muscle tone, youll find it by lifting and not losing more weight
add weight training to your routine, and up the calories by a bit. the previous sugjestions of protein to each mean are good ones.

Yeah... girls often screw up and never get past the treadmills.
You look great, though.
In fact, you may have slowed down your metabolism by not eating enough!
INCREASE that by a few hundred! I think you need a LOT more to maintain... I'm smaller than you, and my maintenance is about 1800, not 1600. And I'm not even that active.
So yes, you WILL gain a little once you up 'em, but then your metabolism will speed up, and you can try again.
To reduce fat gain, lift hard and heavy. It works good.

i agree with pretty much all of the other posters (except those who think youre a guy). from your pictures, you look phenomenal. i dont think losing any more weight would be healthy. guys may love slender girls, but we dont like girls that are so slim we lose sight of them when they turn sideways.
i know this view is going to be a very common one so you wont get a lot of helpful advice for losing more weight.

After looking at your pictures I have to agree with everybody else. You don't really look like you have any weight left to loose. I think you are only depriving your body at this point. Try lifting some and eating healthier fats and eating a few more calories, and you will put on some muscle and achieve the look you are after.
