I workout tonight after work
on a different note - I went to Olive Graden with my office for lunch today (going away dinner for someone) and I just drank water - that was tough!

workout3 doggcrapp
stretch with bands
chest - bench - warmups - barx20, 150x10, 300x4, working set 340x12/4/2 RP, 20 sec static (supposed to be 30 sec) then stretch w 80 lb dbs for 60 sec
shoulders - arnold press - working set 120x8/4/2 RP, 30 sec static, stretches for 60 secs
triceps - close grips - warmup 150 x10, working set 300x9/3/2 RP, strtches 60 sec
back width - pulldowns behind head - warmups 100x10, 150x5, 270x9/3/2 RP, static 20 secs,
back thickness - rack deadlifts - warmups 225x10, 315x10, 405x10, working set 545x12. stretches 60 sec.
Getting a little more used to this style of lifting - will be upping the weights slowly. Was able to hold the stretches for the proper amount of time today.

WOW! I, um, need to go shut my pie-hole. Your lifts are insane Sir. Can't wait to hit those numbers. Keep going, it is awesome to witness. I was going to name my journal "BaggyB's journey to get as big as NewMexico (the state not the member)" I figure it is an easier goal to hit. But, my wife said it would sound smart-butt. Keep going ~ B

Nice work, but no surprise.
I'll give you a little amateur kinesiology analysis.
You have 3 exercises that hit the lateral and medial heads of the triceps but the long head is only weakly stressed. (the rumors of the close grip hitting the long head are greatly exaggerated).

As you can see, the long head is attached to the scapula and unless the arm is somewhat extended to stretch the long head, it can not be worked well.
A tricep exercise that has the arm extended over the shoulder like
this overhead extention, might be a good addition.
Have a nice weekend!

Olive Garden in Las Cruses? Or, did you go to EP? They have a Grilled Chicken Spiedini you can order with grilled veggies and no pasta. One of my faves.
House tap water or foo foo water?

If this guy

drinks foo-foo water...
To avoid foo-foo water, I order seltzer. Just like perrier, but without the schmaltz

Um, can I get a case of foo-foo, actually, make it two.
If foo-foo H2O aids in getting a back that HUGE, I need to change my diet a bit.

Great work NM.
Freakish arnolds!!
I went to the Olive Garden with my boss on Thursday.
I had the venetian apricot chicken with broccoli, asparagus and diced tomatoes.
I scraped of most of the apricot sauce and left a little for taste.
Here's the nutritional info:
Pretty good for dining out.
Venetian Apricot Chicken Calories-328 Protein -30g Fat-7g Fiber-4g

I feel healed up and ready to really hit it again - also I have joined a new gym - a World's gym - lots of equipment my current gym doesn't have like leg presses, hacks and Hammer machines - and best of all - everyone uses machines or aerobic machines and the free weight is just waiting for me to use it!
I'm starting back with a four day split - lift Sat, sun, tue, thur, off m-w-f - the Dorian Yates split - I start tomorrow!

NM,
I just love those poundages.
How are the shoulders after the Hammer and Smith machine?
Nice work on the cables. One of my favorite exercises.
I want to hear about muscle soreness (or lack of) tomorrow or the day after.
