B 12 problem

I found out I may have a B-12 problem. Apparently my body may not be processing it and I may need a shot. Has anyone else had this problem? What does it mean?

That you have to get a shot every week or two and will have more energy and apetite afterwards. It means you have a b-12 defficiency, or you smoke

I inject b-12 regularly, it's no big deal.

You can do it with slin pins (29g) very, very thin and you don't feel them at all the first injection.

On subsequent uses the needle dulls and it can hurt a little bit.

But the injection can be given IM or sub-cu.

I've heard of people using up to 7mg a week.

I use 4 a week.

If I do have a problem it has to be genetic. I don't smoke, drink and I am not a vegetarian. They say I just can't processes it through pills or food. Glad to hear the shot is not too bad. I will find out next week if I have a problem. I heard not getting B12 can have negative effects. I also heard some people use B12 to loose weight. Anyone done this?

Not for weight but for energy and appetite. B-12 is much much more effective if injected. I dont have a disorder and still choose to suppliment with it, it is not a bad thing at all.

i used self inject b12 on a weekly basis for energy and carbohydrate metabolism. most ingested b12 even sublingual is destroyed by the stomach acid so the injections are the way to go. noticed slight results in energy and hunger levels but my mom found needles and thought i was on roids so i stopped.

Injection of it is a hassle for all the above reasons. You should look for a product by Hi Tech Pharmaceuticals called Dicobalene-V. Its has three forms of B-12. I have a customer with megaloblastic anemia ( http://www.diagnose-me.com/cond/C364379.html ) so far he's got his serum b-12 levels so high they're off the scale they use to measure it! His anemia hasn't yet improved 100%, but it takes a little while for B-12 to take part in the maturation of red blood cells.

A subq injection weekly is not a hastle, painless and take all of 2 minutes. Easier then popping a pill 7x a week. Oh and nice plug btw

EDIT: Keep in mind diabedic CHILDREN are capable of subq injections, noone needs to be a little girl about them. Hell if I could take one shot a week for all my supps instead of taking them daily I would

I hear ya. Just some guys cant get away with purchasing, storing, and using things that require needles. Hell man, i know guys that can't go grab a beer without checking first... if you catch my drift.

yea, but in that case I think those guys need to man up even more
