Hi Brian - Nice that you have 2 gyms to choose from! Workout looks great, and I'll bet it was fun to use some *slightly* different equipment for your usual exercises. I like noting the subtly different feeling in the muscle that comes from making just a small change in position or grip. Oh, and congratulations on the 50# DL increase.

Thanks, Emma. I almost didn't put the increase because that is the weight I SHOULD be doing. The first week was just a warmup....but I needed to feel good about something yesterday!

The lower back feels great, Debbie. It's the traps that get a bit sore. No complaints, though.

Thanks, Orc. I rarely, if ever, get DOMS in my abs. I had them after the first time I tried the v-twists, but since then I've been good to go!

I've been hesitant to do them because they are just a pain in the ASS  . I think I'm growing to like them now. I've already noticed some strengthening because of them. Don't ever let me push them aside again!

Hiya Josie. Not much pain. I think the diet is going well. I'm trying to keep the fruit and veggie intake up. I may scale back a little bit on the calories just because I don't like the feeling of always feeling full. It makes it tough to eat the next meal. I DO think it is helping to put on some size though. I actually am looking forward to a cut soon. (Not the cardio, mind you..just the results  )

Tonight was legs and shoulder night. My legs really felt good tonight. I didn't push up the weights on my squats, but I did manage to stay low for EACH rep, which was a first. I usually find myself cheating on bit on the last few. Next week I'll be ready for more weight.

Nice leg work, Brian. You're like my son when it comes to legs; he can smoke me on leg ext, but not on squats  I noticed this with you before. Your leg ext are way out of my league (I realize it matters on machine vs bench...angle etc., but still...), but your squat #s is slightly below. It's really strange to me how these things work sometimes

Great job on the workout, Brian!  We'll have to meet one year at the Clemson/Carolina game. Are you and your sweetie going to this year's? I don't know if we're going to be there for it this year or not. We have reservations for our anniversary at the Grove Park Inn, but if Carolina has a really jam up year we may be motivated to come back home for the game..............
Anyway, if we are at the game we would love to have the two of you (in all your glorious orange) drop by the Cock Palace.

Good job, Brian! It's pretty easy to cheat on those last reps, isn't it.
I wonder if your height helps you in the leg extentions? Of course I don't really know how it would help....... more leverage, maybe? Good numbers, though!

Well there is an invite that makes my day!  We probably won't make it to this year's game, however. My wife just switched her schedule to all weekends, so it is definately out for her. Yeh, I don't understand it either. I played a ton of soccer and skied a lot as a kid. I always remember my quads burning after both of those so maybe the strength is a residual from that. It's a goal to get my hammies and glutes strengthened.

Thanks, Black. I had to switch to singles because I maxed out with double legs on the machine at our gym. Elise suggested them to me, so I can't take credit for being smart enough to realize I only needed to use one leg!

I'd love to find an exercise that my height gives me an advantage on. It certainly doesn't on bench, squat, deads, etc.

Chest and Calf day today. Overall a pretty good workout. I was a little disappointed in the higher weights on the bench. For some reason the weights felt heavier today. It felt like I just couldn't push that last rep. So I did extra....

I was really apprehensive when I started these because I thought the weights would be too light. It is a whole lot different doing front raises with both arms as opposed to singles...

Great job, Brian! Hammer curls at 50#! Wow, that is awesome. Your curls are impressive as well. You're getting up there with the Zott's as well. I put them back in with my new rotation.
