Well I can't say I don't like the food I eat, because I would be lying lol...Because I LOVE FOOD PERIOD!

But I must say I am getting sick of eating toast and peanut butter in the morning...I think I am going to have jam on my toasts and just scoop it out of the tub for a little change...but I'll still have my pb sandwhich in the afternoon with my banana...lol

Going to try and get use to dem damn oats lol...for whatever reason I am having trouble getting use to eating them, tastes very plain...maybe I'll add some fruit to it, some splenda, not sure...

As for the good tasting powder, well I do like the ON Natural 100% Whey because it isn't sweet...I didn't like some of my gainers due to the sugary taste...

Whether I like the food or I don't, I still eat it, NO MATTER WHAT!

I had problems with the oats as well. What I started doing is putting a cup of them in with my Chocolate ON and eating them like cereal, then drinking the rest. Sound gross, but actually they taste like chocolate rice crispy's....YUM

So basically you prepared your oats mixed a shake and poured the shake in with your oats? Am I right?

A few time I would just wash them down with water (not even cooked) some guys said that's fine, nothing wrong with it, but it requires lots of water and bloats me up a bit...so I am going to cook them again, but I am going to start with 1/3 of a cup and work my way up...I'll probobly have it for my pwo workout with my shake to start off and when I adapt to the taste I will eat it in the morning...(because I don't have much time in the morning to eat, always on the run lol)

after spending 6 months using pro lab n large 2 ive just finished my first tub of cytogainer and have ordered 3 more. the n large2 did a very good job in putting on size, but i always had to be careful of my fat levels with it and its sugar content. with cytogainer ive found that in addition to maintaining the weight increase im getting cut up without even trying....the rest of my diet/training has remained identical to before. plus, cookies and cream flavour with milk tastes just like melted down haagen daas

What I do is, mix my protien with milk (using a fork) and then just pour the raw oats in there and mix it up. I just spoon them out and eat em. Trust me it tastes great. I tried the raw oats and water thing. VERY hard to stomach, tastes like complete crap...

Dietary cholesterol doesn't affect serum levels...it doesn't matter AT ALL.

What are you talking? If it's coming from your diet...it's dietary cholesterol...all cholesterol in ALL food is dietary cholesterol. The cholesterol found in our bodies is LDL and HDL, that's called serum cholesterol. Cholesterol is determined by genetics, lifestyle habits ie smoking/drinking, and can be altered if you consume too much crap food with saturated fats & high gi processed garbage.

Dude don't worry about Cyto Gainer's cholesterol content, the only way you will clog your arteries by a high cholesterol intake is if your consuming alot of junk food, foods containing loads of saturated and trans fats and what not...

The cholesterol in cytogainer is not something to be concerned about unless your planning at eatin 2 meals at micky dee's a day...

Besides your young (like me), small (like me) lol so this is another reason not to worry about it...your bulking no worries..

Yeah also, you don't NEED this gainer...Hell you could pick up some ON Whey and just take 2 shakes a day along with alot of food like I am doing...in the end your diet will determine whether you put the weight on or not, not the gainer...

But a gainer is a nice little extra, but not necessary...food concurs all...remember your 130lbs, it should be only easy for you to get ALL of your carbs, protein and fats from your diet + a pwo shake like ON..

I'm not saying don't buy the gainer but I am basically trying to tell you that nobody should rely on a gainer to do the work...even when I took them I never did...I was always afraid I wasn't eating enough so I counted everyday to make sure...don't count right now, I can add most of it up in my head lol..

Yeah I've been taking the bulking diet to the max for the past 2 weeks and I put on 5 LBS!

This is the best gains I have EVERRRRRRRRRR got and I can proudly say I did it with food and not a gainer!

I think this is an excellent example why foods are more important than any gainer...no disrespect to gainers, because I like them and plan on taking them again in the near future...

I am very satisfied with my gains in the past 2 weeks, upper body took some of the weight but the mid section and ab area took some of it two...starting to get worried if I am gaining TOO MUCH in the gut, it is really starting to show...

Hey!..Nice gains!!..without a gainer, I gained 4 POUNDS IN 2 DAYS!!..ha!..And lucky for me, my abs got MORE NOTICEABLE!!..Im soo happy with my gains, and eating REAL FOOD, its awesome...At one point during my bulk, my abs were fading, but I guess my body is getting used to the bulk, and they are showing up again, and re-building, as well as strengthening!!..

Well I said 5lbs in 2 weeks but hell it could have been one week hard to say because it was the first time I weighed myself in 2 weeks...could have put the weight on in the first few days hard to say...

As for what you said on your body getting use to the bulk and what not, well it don't think it has anything to do with your body adapting I think it has to do with your weight...much harder to lose those abs at your size...I know because when I first started my bulk (130-135lbs) I took awhile before the abs faded...

My goal is to get to 170 by the end of September...I think I can easily do it if I keep up with the good work...

I will keep you posted...

Not to burst your bubble, but 4 lbs. in 2 days isn't really an accurate measurement. You should probably wait at least a week to see if the 4 lbs is still there because it could just be water weight or the massive amounts of food you ate recently. If you increase at the rate of 4 lbs in 2 days... that aint safe.

Growth happens in spurts too

VERY RARELY do you see someone continually gain 1/7 of a lb a day so 1lb a week. Most growth comes in 2-3lb spurts over the course of a couple days.

4lbs in 2 days in other words is awesome.

NOW Sports Nutrition: Pro-Gainer

Personally, I've tried a number of weight gainers in the past year and from my experience, NOW Sports Nutrition's Pro-Gainer comes out on top. Not only is it the most natural gainer I've found and doesn't have any artificial sweeteners, it also has whey, casein, and egg protein, so it's good for a shake just before bed if you're concerned about having calories in your stomach for a while.

The calorie profie is 6xx (I'm between tubs and don't recall the exact amount per serving--I think it is 660 per three scoops of powder, but for my size I only ever use two scoops which have about 440 calories per shake when I mix the powder with water) and somewhere around 40 grams of protein per suggested serving with water (it is twenty-something for my adjusted shakes), but of course you could make the shakes with milk or some other beverage. The serving suggestion is about two shakes per day, post-workout and before bed, which would add about 1200 calories to your diet. For a big guy, that would probably be fine, but again I'm smaller and so spread those 1200 over three smaller shakes.

The flavors come in chocolate and vanilla; I haven't had the chocolate yet, but the vanilla tastes a bit like butterscotch, or egg nog. The ingredients also boast digestive enzymes as well as a broad amino acid profile and enough basic vitamins and minerals to make it a nifty little multi all wrapped up into the convenient package of a sports nutrition shake. Compared to the likes of some of the other brands I've tried this year--most of which tasted like sugary junk food to me--as a substitute for a meal and a weight gainer to boot, Pro-Gainer remains my personal favorite.

Yeah I jsut checked it out, I was liking it at first then I noticed 35 grams of protein for 1 serving (3 scoops)

And you said your only taking 2 scoops...your only getting like 23 grams of protein per serving...pretty weak..

You could take ON Whey and get 24(?) or 26(?) grams of protein...usally gainers contain more protein than whey protein powders...

Just my thoughts...JM

I have taken 100% whey products and I have broken out in a severe rash. So obviously I am allergic to that much whey. Is there any products out there I should look into. I have taken Syntha 6, and some other products. Personally I would prefer something that is available at GNC stores, seeing that it is easier to pick up for me. I'm a noobie so has much info would be great. I was told that X-Factor is excellent.

ITS NOT BAD CHOLESTREOL...dietary cholestreol, does NOT affect your levels like other cholestreol...Cytogainer is an amazing, solid, gainer...Besides, read below as well, that was posted a couple of posts ago, thought you would see it if you looked through the page..

Thumbs up

I put on 16lbs in the past 3 months which is not bad i suppose. I use True-Mass and Syntha-6 along with Cell-Tech and Nitrix,,, I really wouldn't worry bout cholesterol either. I just try to stay away from junk and I'm happy with my gains so far.

Whatta you guys know about any of the high Calorie weight gainers??? True-Mass is 800 cal w 16oz milk,,,, Cyto is 740?? or something correct?? What about Muscle Juice or TwinLab??? Juice is like 1200cal w/ water and Twinlab is 2200cal. I'm just looking for a lil something so I don't have to eat 8 meals a day? Any suggestions
