Joint pain, Heat or cold
Like the title says, do you like to use clod, or heat the helpout with joint pain? Ive been using heat on my elbow, and it seems to help out quiet a bit.

depends on exactly where the pain is.
if in the *muscle border* or bone...then cold.
if in the muscle, then heat.
this works good for me most of the time

I've had knee problems for over a year now and in my experience. If the knees aren't swallon, don't freeze it. Icing for the wrong purpose can lead to nerve damages that can cause major complications down the road.

ice ice ice
Swelling is bad for recovery. Heat increases bloodflow, and thus swelling. Cold decreases both, which is why it's superior for recovery. You'd want to use heat before exercise to warm the joint/muscle up, but that's the only time.

He never stated his joints were swollen, just pain. Which concludes that heat is more beneficial at this moment.

Pain, Redness, Heat, and Swelling are all the cardinal signs of an inflammatory process. Putting heat on inflammation is like adding kindling to a wild fire- just keps it burning.
