Merhaba neighbours!!!!
Merhaba neighbors!!!!
I'm a Yunanli, living in Athens, My grandparents(and I of course) were Yunan Laz(from Karadeniz)came back to Greece on 1922-1926.
I speak and write very little Turkish(because I had a Turkish girlfriend from Aydin)
I feel happy to have some of my neighbors here!
Keep lifting brothers!

By the way what's the aftermath of those fires? How are you guys holding up?
Hopefully you weren't affected on any level.

Hi Kavak, it's better not to speak(chat) about the holocaust etc. I'm a 3rd generation Yunan Laz(Karadenizli) and it hurts me sometimes to speak about all these...
after all these I never had probs with the Turks , for me they are brothers because we lived together for more than 400 years and when I was with my Turkish girlfriend I understood that we are exactly the same people with the same culture and food and the difference is only about the religion. and to be honest, we never had probs because of the different religions.

lol. I think Kavak was talking about the recent wave of forest fires in Greece.
Yeah, we're practically the same people with different religion and languages. Our food, music and day to day culture are very similar.
and, yes, I don't like talking about what happened in the past either. Ugly things happened on either side, both peoples got hurt. War is always ugly. But, just so you know, there was no '(laz) holocaust'...

Sorry!
sorry brother, it's easy to misunderstood things when you are using a foreign language.
great prob with the fires, thousands of people lost their homes , insallah they will find a way to be again as they were before.
some of my olive trees are also burned, but life must go on.
Anyway, the girl in the picture in really awesome!(kusursus!!! )

Just beat Hungary 3-0 in Euro 2008 qualifiers. It was awesome.
It was our first game after our punishment of no fans; played in Istanbul's Inonu Stadium.
Greece tied 2-2 today. And about a week or so we tied with Malta 2-2 so this should even things out in Group C a little towards in our favor.

anyway yeah Turkiye won 3-0, but besiktas just lost today in the sampiyonlar ligi, 2-0 to marseille. yarin fenerbahce plays.
met two turkish girls the other day as i walking in between classes at Rutgers. i was walking behind them and heard the language, so i just jumped in and started a conversation. basically, everytime i see turks in public, i always end up talking to them.

I'm the same way. I went into an ice-cream shop with my wife the other day...bam, right there. A Turkish family. I didn't even hear the language they were speaking, but they looked soooo Turkish. So I walked up and asked them if they were Turks. We ended up chatting a bit. You don't find a lot of Turks in NW Louisiana.
