I picked up on this too watching the interview lastnight. It came off as being rude in my opinion. Jay's a great bodybuilder, but when it comes to being personable, he needs work. I mean he should know that all his fans are watching this video. Completely ignoring someone's questions (and someone highly respected like Bob) is crap.

He gave long ass answers. Not that unreasonable that he might forget about some things bob asked when he talks for like 5 minutes straight explaining one thing. They seem to be good friends in the video, I doubt Jay would intentionally disrespect him.

While Jay is preparing for the Mr.Olympia I doubt he wants dudes crashing in his house. People are making it sound like because he doesn't ask bob to stay with him and ignored the question that now Jay is an @sshole.

Negative.
He has a friend of his that stays with him and helps him out prior to the Olympia and on top of that his father is currently living with him full time.

Sorry WM, was that you who put that in the vid? I'd go with what's below
Definately not 'tricep' tho - He's not using the tricep at all in that movement, plus it was Jay's actual 'back' day - so all pulling....

It was a rope too, so a High Pully Rope Pull/Row?? That'd be what I'd call it if I was describing it to someone..

Yup - remember, Jay is in 'O' mode - like a robot (no diss at his OLD robot habbits) so he needs and i'm sure, wants to be in the cycle he's used to and has spent all year planning - even though he's said already that he doesn't know literally what he'll be doing ina few days.. but he still knows he's gonna be in the zone and that means no distractions.
Just inviting the cameras into his great home is enough IMO..

I don't really care but I just thought it was weird he didn't even acknowledge the question. Even if I personally was there being asked the question and not wanting to actually have people stay there I probably would have just said "yeah you should have stayed here" to humor them.

Guys...guys.....relax..!
Jay and I have been good friends for many years now.....as for not answering my questions...Jay answered every question I asked, sometimes I'll throw in a few follow ups right from the start, and people will tend to answer the first one or two...it's human nature.
As for staying at his house...I only mentioned it because of the spectacular house we were filming....I'm sure If I asked for real, he would have had no problem letting us stay...actually, he has an entire guest house on the other side of the driveway completely seperated from the main house we didn't show on camera..!
Jay and Kerry are good people...same guy as Mr. Olympia than when we first met at the 97 Nationals....(just a lot bigger!)
One of the best spokesman for the sport we've had....

It isnt Jay Cutler's job to put up Chicarello for the night in vegas...in fact it be presumptuous of him to even offer...almost like assuming Bob doesnt have somewhere to stay or is so small time he couldnt get a sponsor to put him up somewhere...or that he even wouldnt want to stay on the strip somewhere and be able to bring up a women or friends...or stay out all night..

Mr. O , Mr. Personality
Wow - after watching both the long training and interview segments - I thought Jay was extremely responsive (and yes - he did plug his sponsors unmercifully- but he does have a contract) to Bob's questions and pretty darn open about where his mind was and why. He seems pretty genuine and obviously is, as others have noted, in the the zone.
After paying good money for his New, Improved, and Beyond DVD a few years ago - I think it is awesome that we get to see these segments at all! Give us more Bob!

I still don't understand why anyone would actually pay money just to watch a guy work out. It's like they think they are going to find some "secret" exercise the champ does to get so big. When in reality it's just a big guy doing the same ol' exercises they've already seen and done a hundred times over. Hmm.(shrugs)

Everyones always out to hate on those in the spotlight. It's quite pathetic how much it happens.

its the novelty of watching the big guys do their thing and move the weight. the dvd's are not just in the gym. Ripped to shreds followed him around everywhere such as home, backstage at the O, shopping etc etc. Its good to just get an insight into the life of a pro.
Besides, you need to buy his new one "Jay to Z" as I am in it!
