LJ57's Isatori IsaTest Log (New Formula!)
LJ57?s Isatori Isa-Test 8 Week Log?The New Formula
Age : 30
Weight : 216
Height : about 5?9
BF% : 24.7%...but that's based on Tanita scale readings
Sorry for the delay in getting things started but I've had alot of things come up in the last few weeks and haven't been able to get on here.
My training will change over the next 8 weeks but currently I have returned to German Volume Training for a few weeks as it has worked well for me in the past. It has been several months, however, since I?ve implemented it. After that I will work in a lower rep range for awhile.
My goal is to add lean mass while minimizing, and possibly losing, fat.
Diet : 210-220g of protein, 150-200g of carbs, 80-90g of fat. I?m a vegetarian so my diet is vastly different than those of most others. About 150g of my protein consumption comes from shakes with the rest from such foods as peanut butter, cottage cheese, vegetable protein, cheese, and pumpkin seeds (a few times per week).
I will get this log underway starting tomorrow. Today and tomorrow are off days but I will begin the Isa Test today anyway since I?m a bit late getting started.
Before pictures coming tonight or tomorrow!

Chest/Abs
*warm up with 2 sets of push ups (20-25 reps per set)*
Incline DB Press - 10 sets using 55lb (adjustable) dumbells.
I took 4 caps of Isa Test about 45 minutes prior to workout. Too early to report anything yet but strength and energy were very good. I was pretty much sleep deprived prior to workout and about an hour after I finished I went to sleep for a couple of hours. I have a messed up work schedule and a terrible sleep pattern right now so I never know when I will get my sleep. It's a miracle I was able to have the energy I did and get through the workout just fine.

Arms
I was really amazed at how well the workout went, especially biceps. I normally have been stuck at doing barbell curls with 40lbs for a long time now. I could always get about 5-6 reps (7 tops) with 50lbs but this time I managed to hit 10 with 50lbs which is a first...and I think I might have been able to get a couple of more on the first set I did with 50. I eventually had to drop back down to 40 in order to keep hitting 10 reps but my strength in barbell curls was definitely up. It may be too early to have gotten too much benefit from the Isa Test but strength was certainly up for some reason. Chest was still horrribly sore from the other day so I decided to forego the usual close grip bench presses and go with pressdowns instead. I also did 4 sets of wrist curls with 30lbs as my forearms are really lagging. They've been stuck at 12.5' for about a year and I've neglected doing much work on them for the most part. Once I'm through with the GVT I will probably add more sets and exercises (ie reverse wrist curls and some grip work) and see if they respond well to that.

I've been completely sleep deprived on sleep for the last few days but I ended up hitting legs very early this morning. (about 330AM) I usually work out at night but given the recent circumstances I got it in when I could. I work out at home in the garage so I don't do any heavy leg movements like squats, leg presses, etc.
Split squats - 10 sets of 10 (each leg) w/40lb dumbells
It seems like the weight felt easier to handle than usual but my energy wasn't great this morning and I pretty much had to force myself to get through the workout.
I feel like the Isa Test may be increasing my agression a bit. For some reason tribulus seems to have this effect on me after awhile even though other test boosting ingredients (ie avena sativa, eurycoma, and even atd) don't really affect agression.
So far I have noticed any affects on libido, sexual functioning, etc of any kind. Sleep is also unaffected but then again my sleep patterns have been awful recently.
My strength has been up each and every single workout which is unexpected since I haven't really been using this long enough to likely get a significant benefit from it. Maybe it's already working or maybe it's placebo but time will tell.
