Lemme just go pull my skin tight over my abs so it looks like I'm nice and cut even though I'm like 12% BF and snap a picture.
I'm sure you'll all be impressed.

If you PM me for advice know this first. I'm not doing anything special or amazing, and I will probably tell you the same thing that has been posted millions of times before.

Abs come from low bodyfat, not from training.
Very little growth can be achieved from training, they tend to become stronger the more core lifts you do.

Ok... we heard you the first time.
Actually, it's a combination of both.
1. If you don't train them, they won't have deep contours when you do lose the weight. Futhermore, you won't have the necessary muscle tone to contract them tightly.
2. In order to see your abdominals, you have to have relatively low bodyfat, because the first place on men where fat collects is the abdomen. Diet is the largest factor in determining whether you can see your abs or not. Aerobic activity plays a smaller role in that it helps you burn of the fat you already have.
Visible abs are part of a healthy lifestyle.

Actually, Cutting up so lean is one of the hardest things i've done in bbing.
I squatted 330lbs 30 times 3 months into the cut, i've bulked many times, etc. Keeping muslce while going from a 34.5 waist to 29 has been very hard.. nothing easy about it.
Cutting the calories low, monitoring muscle mass, lifting heavy on low carbs, etc. is a lot harder than when I was shoveling 4800 calories down my neck during my last bulk.
Imo, if you haven't got a good core & set of abs to go with the muscle, you can be just as much a pretender as the person who only has the abs.
I don't know many people who have naturally lean sick packs that come with perfect intercostals & serratus, etc. Most people have to actually work for them (diet, cardio, training - tensing of the abs through squats, deads, etc. and direct ab work).
In addition, there are many more best legs & best back threads than ab threads, so there's no need to be so disruptive when a person posts an ab thread. so each his own, tbh. I don't think anybody here said bodybuilding is all about abs.

I'm pretty sure we ALL know who's going to win this, and no, it's not timberwolf, no, it's not dvv, no it's not skip! It's the so called "newbie" who made a thread a while ago, and I cbf bumping it or posting his pics here, so reps to whoever does
