help with my CALVES!
they just refuse to grow...****
im not sure if i train them hard enough or if its because my ****ty genetics for calves but they just dont grow...All the training i have been doing with them for the past few months ive noticed they have become more firm and ripped, but arent really growing in terms of bulk.
Also just thought id point out that my arms are around 14.75" whereas my calves are around 13.25"
i have heard ideally your calves should be the same size as ur arms..is this true?
and do i have any hope?
any techniques, excercises you guys can recommend or am i just ****dd

i feel your pain, i have some really thin calves.
it sucks when you see people who don't ever touch a weight in there life and have these big calves.
Just squat ATG, that seems to help a lot.
then after you're done doing the normal leg workout just throw in something like 3 sets of 15-20 of standing calf raises, then 3 sets of however many reps while you're sitting down.
helps if you do calves 2-3 times a week as well. but unfortunately i'm too lazy to do that, hence mine still suck

Lol I have 14.5 inch calves.
Some people have ****ty calf genetics some dont, but seriously, just keep training them they'll grow.. Seriously my calves look soo unproportionate, they're 2 inches bigger than my arms lol.

Increase the weight, and decrease the reps = bulk
(providing you're fueling yourself correctly, of course).

I have genetically huge calves and it kinda sucks cause just till recently they always looked disproportionate to the rest of me, theyre 17" right now and i RARELY ever do any direct calves work

Fat guys have great calves
The biggest mistake people make is to ask someone with large calves how they got them like that. In fact, I've never seen anyone build their calves to monsterous proportions no matter what they did (or took). That said, don't give up. Just because your weren't born with huges calves doesn't mean you can't develop them to some degree. However, you've got to be realistic.
The largest (and most defined) calves I've ever seen on someone was a guy the had fantastic legs until you got to his hip where you'd need extra measuring tape to get around his mile wide butt, and it just got worse as the eye moved up
