Igor Vovchancyn: 5'8 205-240 lb depending on whether he's fighting LHW or HW
MMA record:45-9-1-1
Kickboxing record: 58-2
VS Paul Varelans (6'8 330 lb)
LOL Varelans is a bad fighter but it's awesome seeing a guy a foot shorter and 120 lbs lighter KO the bigger guy.
VS Ernesto Hoost in K-1
Knocks him down like 5-6 times before he gets kneed and suffers a broken rib or something. He was dominating Ernesto Hoost, one of the best K-1 kickboxers ever.

Others are Jeff Monson (billed as 5'9 but is really 5'8 @ HW), Kid Yamamoto (~5'3-5'4 @ LW), Mike Tyson (billed as 5'11, often reported as 5'10, but really 5'8.5 @ HW), David Tua (is actually 175 cm which is 5'8, billed as 5'10, @ HW)
For proof on Tyson:
See tyson standing with Eddy Murphy:
Eddie Murphy is about 1.5" shorter than the 5'9" Jamie Foxx.
Basically, 5'8 is about the miminum height you can be if you want to be a successful HW in combat sports- anything smaller and you're sacrificing too much power.
Also, it's very hard to get above 200 lbs if you're under 5'8. It's difficult, but possible, to get to about 220 lbs of muscle on a 5'8 frame naturally.
You can get 220 on that height but only if your very big boned and heavily muscled. Otherwise you need roids.

Many top HWs are in the 220 range. For example, Cro Cop and Fedor. The best weight to be in the HW division it seems is 220-240 lb. A few top 10 guys like Sylvia and Barnett are 250 lb + but they're in the minority.
They probably have thick frames, meaning there bone structure is wider than the average 5'8" guy. Ernesto hoost has some really strong leg bones, they are like concrete
I'm 5'5 and pushing 200 around 10 and 11% bf and i've always had a thick frame you do need it to be short and carry alot of muscle. I was walking around 235 23% before I got back into shape over a year ago and trained MMA and lifted 5 days a week. I've always have had wide shoulders and back. But more muscle goes into your legs when your stocky. highly doubt i'll ever carry more than 225 of muscle.
