In this order.
-Resume to get you in the door
-Interview, i dont care how qualified you think you are, so are the other 50 people who are interviewing
-Experince
-GPA
-extra school, if they had the same clubs(better if they were in the same frat)
-volunteer stuff.
Ive never used a thank you note. If they want to hire you, you wont have to remind you of who you are in a few weeks.

Your right more for jobs after your entry level. For jobs right out of college experience is more valuable then interview, anyone can put on a show for a half hour in an interview places want people with experience for entry level positions.

one thing I always do is have a business card when I go out and meet people, go to classy places where you can rub shoulders with the right people, if someone happens to mention they are in a networking circle that interests you, ask them more questions, show enthusiasm, ask them for a business card, ask if its okay if you contact them sometime. Then buy them a strong long island ice tea, and go home with them, male or female. You will definately leave them remembering you.

I'll rep somebody if they post an example of a stellar resume (not because of experience or something, but the format).

you're 22.
experince is very important, but if you have little to no people skills and cant convey what your trying to explain you wont go anywhere.

Yeh, I am a little iffy on that too. 50 hours seems a little hard to believe, how do you explain that as well?
