The cheapest and fairly OK Whey would be Whey-Tech.
At $17 a Piece (5 lbs) (When you buy 2), its unbelieveble!

dymatize elite is still the cheapest value lb for lb at $23 for a 5lber. many great flavors too. if i were in an absolute crunch for whey, i would rather buy it at gnc AND online, then return the online one to gnc when it gets here. actually, i would never do that because it is so immoral, but it is better than being stuck with some whey that you dont even like and may not even finish.

I think it does a pretty good job. Of course its not going to be as good as the really expensive brands but it does its job. The vanilla sucks. I wander if there creatine is any good?

body fortess
the first protein shake i bought was myoplex chocolate cream. it was so bad i could barely choke down a glass and i wanted to barf. then i tried muscle milk from vitamin world. it was expensive even though it was on sale the thing i didnt like about it was the calorie content its 350 for two scoops and 32 grams of protein. then in a forum on muscle milk i read its got a nasty chemical in it. then in a chat room this one guy who works out said he had gotten body fortress and said it tasted good and was only 12 bucks and it had 46 grams of protein. so i thought ill give it a try. i must say it does not taste that bad and its only 220 calories for two scoops and im getting 92 grams of protein. from now on im gonna get body fortress chocolate.

I found the same stuff at my walmart they had it in vanilla flavor, I actually agree with you its a pretty good price and it has a good amount of protein per servings.

I am a noob to fitness but I have been using this product. I paid 11.95 for a 2lb tub. It tastes OK. It's not a choc bar, but more like watered down swiss miss like Nick said. Sometimes I add some ice and a half a banana and then it's like heaven. Just recently I decided to switch to a Release brand that GNC sort of talked me into buying. I like the Fortress much better.
So that's my two cents.

I've been using MuscleTech's NitroTech Hardcore for months now... but getting sick of the high-price and gross taste, I thought I'd try a change...
I bought the small tub (Body Fortress Vanilla) last night at Wal-Mart for around $12... 42g of protein per scoop is excellent! I mixed 8oz of milk and a heaping scoop when I got home in the blender (20 seconds on "blend"). No clumps at all (awesome compared to NitroTech Hardcore) very smooth, and the taste's awesome. It reminds me of those Carnation Instant Breakfast drinks.
I highly recommend Body Fortress Vanilla Whey. Two thumbs way up.
Taste: 9/10
Texture: 9/10
Value: 10/10
Nutrition: 9/10
Overall: 9/10
BTW... I'm new. Hi.

I dont know what some of you guys are talking about. I love the taste of the chocolate body fortress protein. Of course I'm not picky when it comes to taste either.

I like Body Fortress Whey, I get it in between big orders from bb.com (I get "Higher Power" Whey normally). I appreciate the fact that it's not too sweet, are you trying to drink some nestle quik or some protein?? However, I still think it tastes good.
4 grams of BCAA's too. It's cheap and always mix's fine for me, in the blender or shaker.

yea,,I picked up a tub of the same flavor from walmart the other day. it mixes very well with just a spoon and tastes good as long as you dont use more than 4 oz of water. it could be slightly more sweet but all in all it tastes pretty good. my on should be arriving any day now. Im curious to how it tastes in comparison

Body Fortress
I use this - and Im a total beginner. I heat the water up so that it's drinkable hot, but not TOO hot (it curdles when you mix it then) and it tastes just like hot chocolate to me. I use 2 scoops in about 16 ounces of water with a spoon full of fiber sure. I use the chocolate and it's 12.95 for the 2 lb tub here. Good price

I just bought some from walmart and I got to say the vanilla mixed with skim milk tastes pretty good. I will try the whole 2lbs and then decide if I go back to ON or just stay with this.

I went to my local GNC store the other day,not to buy Body Fortress, but to buy something else (Hydroxycut).Anyway,I bought a mixing cup.It is a tupperware looking glass that is not only a measuring cup (Ounces),but it has some type of mixing bars on the inside.I pour my 8 ounces of milk, add my Whey protein cup, shut the lid and shake it up.
The result is completely different from when I use to use a spoon. No more clumps! It make it a whole different drink.Like a milkshake.I also use it to mix my creatine punch. The best thing is that it only costs $4.99!Woot!

I don't know about the BF Whey, but the Body Fortress Weight Gainer is delicious. I get no clumps and all I do is shake in in a 700 mL container with a grate inside the top.

love the vanilla
2 scoops of body fortress vanilla whey, two tablespoons of chunky peanut butter, 2 cups of fat free milk, 1 serving of the body fortress glutamine, and 1 tablespoon of fat free choc syrup in a blender. IT tastes friggin awesome imo, i do this three times a day for my protein intake. try this out, the calorie total is like 870 and 150 from fat. im trying to bulk mind you as i have a hard time gaining. im doing rather well with there products thus far, there creatine does more for me than bsn cellmass did too by the way. PLus its really really cheap too.
i think that the vanilla tastes like cake batter alone......... maybe i have crappy taste buds but when i get back from the gym im so excited to come drink my shake. you guys should try this mixture as it rocks
ricky

im poor so i picked this stuff up, its acctually cheaper at Meijer (if you have them in your state) i went through 3 tubs, 2 chocolate and one vanilla. i didnt think the chocolate was bad at all. there seams to be 2 kinds, one is 52 grams protein and 7 bcaas and the other is 46 grams and 4 BCAA. i tried both.
the vanilla is NASTY, but i choked it down.
it got the job done i used one 2 pound tub about every 6-8 days.
im now using meijer brand protein, cheaper, has a better profile, but tastes worse.

Does this stuff help aid in weight loss? Can anyone share their workouts? I drink 1 scoop of 100% whey protein with a 10 oz glass of water and then I run 15 for minutes on a bike. After running, I lift some free weights and do some crunches on a bench. Will this Body Fortress 100% Whey Protein Chocolate help aid me in weight loss. I want to lose fat but gain muscle. Any info on this would be much appreciated. Thanx.

Why did you feel it was necessary to post the same thing on 2 threads?

That stuff is garbage. I was on Bodyfortress Choc/Vanilla whey for about 7 months since coming up on hard times and I needed a supplement rather than none at all. It is one of the worst mixing/tasting Proteins I have tried other than GNC whey which in my opinion is gross as hell. I also did not gain much mass through using it and it made me feel bloated and nausea after everytime I drank it.

There are a TON of reviews on this product here: http://www.thesupplementrating.com/listing.php?id=263
Most are 9 or 10 out of 10, with the few 2-3 out of 10s...
My guess is that most people that give it a high rating just picked it up at Walmart and never go shopping for supps anywhere else.
