Hey Mr. Ray, first just wanted to say that i'm a big fan of yourself and Bob Cicherillo, i believe you guys are the ones that are going to take bodybuilding to a whole new level. I just think its awesome how you help other in achieving their fittness goals. I have a quick situation that i would prefer a pro to answer so that i know i'm doing the stuff right and safely, here goes......I'm about to start an 8week program, i read on FLEX magazine ( the May'07 issue) and i am currently taking my creatine right after i work out and my whey protein first thing in the morning and before going to bed, i have already done the loading phase for the creatine but the diet plans for this 8week program consist of taking whey protein before working out and then taking whey protein and casein after working out ( both mixed in water some days, others in gatorade) so i just want to know if anybody out there knows if its safe to mix creatine with whey protein and casein? or if i should wait and divide them up a couple hours apart? For those who have the current issue of FLEX, the diet portion of the 8week program starts on page 124. I'm new to the stacking of supplements so i just want to be sure it's safe to do as creatine is said to be taken best before and after working out.

Shawn, thanks for the interview! It should be here on Bodybuilding.com very soon. I know Will is putting it all together.
For those of you who are huge Shawn Ray fans, I had the honor of interviewing him and the interview will be on the website shortly...

1 - Spelling is horrible
2 - No steroid will make you gain muscle or burn fat - Diet will build muscle - and diet will burn the fat
3 - Training is based on the person, doesn't matter how long Shawn trained, it's how your body responds to training - May it be 45 minutes a day - or 2 hours a day
Find what works best for you, do your research on AAS, Training, Diet, and be patient.
Sorry for posting, but i thought i would save some time for Shawn -

Congrats on a great Expo and BB Show, Shawn. It was my first time at a BB show and Expo and I was very impressed. I took my wife and my 1 yr old daughter who loves bbing and fitness. She always smiles when I get a M&F or MuscleMag zine.
Thanks.

Shawn's a busy rep for vyo_tech, has a daughter to raise, a wife to love, bills to pay.....don't hate because the man has a life outside of these forums.

O.K., you've got a point, but still, remember it's easy to judge someone. Maybe, if you put his shoes on for a day you'd feel different. Just my opinion, not trying to start a riot.

Good post by Army.
The man should at least say that he is not posting here anymore. IMO it' plain ignorance to leave clueless fans hovering around getting their hopes up.

Weekly split
Hello Shawn! It is a privelage to correspond with you.
For a hard gainer what would you recommend for a training cycle.
I have been doing 5 on 1 off and been exhausted. I have heard 2 on 1 off is better for hardgainers. What is your opinion?
I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.
Many Blessings to you and your family Shawn.

hi
Hi Shown
I want your opinion on the Olympia , why is there superstar bodybuilders like your self , flex wheeler , kevin levrone that never won the Olympia even ones and on the other hand we had bodybuilders that won it 6 and 8 time in a row ?!?
Don?t you think that this sport is based on opinion not facts , comporting bodybuilding to another sport basketball for example the team with the most point scored wins there can a doubts on who played better but theirs no doubts on who scored more .
Don?t get me wrong I think that Lee , Dorian and Ronnie are out of this world bodybuilders but 6 and 8 times in a row ?! come on your meaning to say that those guys came in 100% every year for 6 and 8 years and there 100% was better then everybody s 100% ????
Fast Q :
1-How long do you think Jay cutler will remain MR Olympia ?
2-Do you think Phil heath will be MR Olympia some day ? and if so when 2009 ? 2010 -?. ?
3-Is there any chance for a bodybuilder with a body weight of 240 lb or less to win the MR Olympia ?
thanx

Hey guys, I haven't posted here in quite sometime. Pretty busy these days promoting my show, working with VYO Tech, Married, Father, Retired, Eating, Eating, Sleeping, bla bla bla...
I promise to try and visit more often. I see there are lots of questions too many for me to start with, so lets start from here, tonight!
I'll try to be more Interactive, as BODYBUILDING.com has supported me from the beginning, I too will continue to support them!
Fire away, that includes the Haters, however I will chose the questions to respond to that have relevance to the Game or helpful to others.
Peace,
S. Ray

I am glad you are devoting some of your time for us here.
To keep it short my question is:
How many minutes or hours do you think a training session should last? What do you think of having two or three training sessions a day? What is the optimal length of a training session based on your experience? and how many should you have?

The Final Countdown
Whats up Shawn fellow bodybuilding enthusiast over here and I managed to grab your video from the local Blockbuster "The Final Countdown" though it was from the '98? 97 and im kinda new to this era circa 2007 Olympia I found it very motivating.
I liked how your video was well edited with clips from your meals down to your supplements. I did a little background research on you and man, I wish you woulda won the Olympia one of those years...your such a classy guy and not to mention the stuff you bring to the table is Championship caliber. I love how you give credit to all those around you and show your sportsmanship to the Body Building world. Not to take anything Away from Ronnie Coleman...as we all know he is a proven beast...but your story reminds me of Reggie Miller, just wanted you to get that ring...
Regardless the intro to your Final Countdown changed my whole outlook on this whole sport of bodybuilding and motivated me even more to stay healthy and live a great life...hopefully, ....hopefully if i can stay determined i can someday compete in some type of show if not just prove to everyone out there that you can go from fat to phat if you keep your mind to it.
Nonetheless your words of wisdom empower me day to day and i think about your video before i train...In my book you are a Mr. Olympia
Take it easy man...hope to hear from you soon.

Whassup Shawn? Thanks for coming back.
I wanted to ask a quick question: how many sets do you normally perform per workout for biceps and triceps respectively?

Hey Shawn,
I'm born with narrow shoulders and I would like to know what are the best methods to make it wider? Apart from that I find it hard for me to build lats. I've tried everything... chin-ups, lat-pulldowns, barbell rows, t-bar rows. I recently started doing deadlifts and I'm still struggling with the form. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you sir.
