2 things could happen
-Mayweather ducks and dodges himself to a decision win.
-Hopkins scrapes and beats his way to a decision win.
I can't see any of them stopping each other.
Hopkins chin and legendary defense would not allow it.
Mayweathers speed and agility would not allow it.
EDIT: Do you guys think Mayweather at Hopkins weight could still depend on his speed? Or would it not be a factor anymore?

Big names but a boring fight. These guys would dance and avoid each other the entire time. Im guessing Hopkins insane reach advantage would be the difference in a 12 round snoozer.

two different weight classes guys. Hopkins just fought at light heavy, but is mostly a middleweight. Mayweather is a welterweight. Fight would never happen adn thank god, because it would be boring

While i agree it is unlikely to happen due to the weight difference, if you throw enough green at both of them i think they would consider it. The same reason we think it wouldnt happen is the reason it would pull in huge PPV numbers. Mayweather is at his peak with very little left to prove and Hopkins would be his Mt Everest. Might be a good motivator for both of them. Now if Mayweather really had a set he would challenge Jerm...
*Think Hagler(160)-Leonard(147)

those fights will never happen. welterweight is the best division in boxing right now and its where the money is at right now
after Mayweather fights Hatton, he either is going to face Mosley or Cotto
