losing the extra skin

I used to be a pretty chubby kid and i guess my metabo picked up and i lost a lot of weight quick. Now about 7 years later, i still have some of the extra skin from the weight loss. not bad, just one of those things you notice when you look in the mirror. Is there any way other than surgery to get rid of this stubborn problem? Help!

Aside from filling it with muscle there isn't a whole lot you can do I'm afraid. 7 years is a long time to let it fill up, how much did you lose?

a ton

I went from 220 to 142 in about 3 months...i did some dangerous carb dieting and used fat burners like candy. Not smart, but i was young a i didn't know much about nutrition back then. I'm around 215 now, and muscle has filled in the majority. It's the trouble spots that kill me, like right below the belly button. I guess i'm destined for the sugery table...

Some doctors have told me that your skin will naturally tighten back up, especially if you take good care of your skin and maintain a similar shape for a while.

You are still young enough that your body can still recover in ways that older people's can not. I'd see some specialists and get several medical opinions before you even think about surgery.

I have the same exact problem. Your pretty lean but you have loose skin with probably loosly distributed fat cells floating around. I call it a skin gut!
