Tendonitis Pain
I have tendinitis in both knees and in my right elbow. The doctors tell me it is something I will have to live with if I continue to workout because I have long limbs. Does anyone have any suggestion or treatments that work?

You will also want to ice your joints after your workouts to keep swelling down.

I have it in my rt. elbow also. I have suffered w/severe pain for the past 3 mons.( for reasons, I shouldn't have waited) I finaly saw my doctor and recieved a cortisone shot in my elbow. I believe it started as bursitis-( enlarged buser sac in my elbow), but when the doc tried to drain that sac it hed already dried up. there is a world of info on this site about bursitis, tendons, tendonitis, tendonosis, and cortisone. Please do a search on either subject and all your answers will be there. Also "Marc David" did a whole series on this exact subject. I'll find the thread for you in a min. Oh, by the way it's been 5 days now since that shot and what a difference. Like night and day-- I stoped taking pain meds. and finally can feel my arm again w/out that sudden pain surge! (You know what it feels like if you have tendonitis) Check out the cortisone

cortisone will only hide the pain, you will workout but you will keep destroying the tendom without noticing it, because cortisone DOESNT repair, just hide the pain
and ice? ok, you can workout, come back home with the tendom hurting like a bitch, ice it and reduce the pain, ok AND???????? it DOESNT HEAL, just calm the pain, and ok, its good, but how long will you do that? and finally your tendom will break, pain tell you TO STOP..
will you ice it when broken too?

tendonitis is an inflammation and cortisone works fine for inflammation it?s not only a pain reliever! the pain relieves as the inflamed tendons decongest
