Hawaiian Islands Championships Results & PICTURES!!!
GUYS I DID IT!
Had my first show yesterday at the Hawaiian Islands Bodybuilding Championships and I felt SOOOOO good that I stuck out my peak week hard and nailed it! 12 weeks of dieting and hard work finally paid off. I felt so good when I made the bantamweight cutoff (I weighed in at 140lbs) and at prejudging was about 137.
Being that it was my first show it was especially hard going through this entire process not know what was going to work for me. There's nothing scarier than being in the dark about a plan for your body that you just aren't sure.
It was an earlier post I read in bb.com about how you just need to make a plan, stick to it, without wavering! Thanks for that advice! For the last Last week I did boiled chicken breast+sweet pot every 3hrs and at the end of this week I was ready to go insane!
Going into this show I had a choice to either enter as a junior (novice) and have an easier time taking home a medal or enter in the open with the men, knowing I am going to be against guys with WAY more experience than me. I also had in mind that bantamweight isnt very competitive. I only had one competitor in this show and I knew even at prejudging that he got it. Not to say I didn't have confidence and didn't give it my all, but the island is small and he is a well known, respected bodybuilder in the community. Good guy.
I'm glad I made that choice because entering with guys who have a higher game really taught me a lot!
Enjoy the pictures starting with:
1) my 1yr "before" picture!
2) Friday night! Stockpiling my post show goodies! (FYI- its sunday already and I don't even feel like eating that crap anymore, LOL!)
3/4) Goodies Part I and II
5) Abshot, prejudging

Thanks for posting the pics and congrats on your awesome trophy! You look amazing and I definitely think you should keep competing. By the way, I haven't had a Nutter Butter in YEARS and seeing the package in your pics makes me want one!

Thanks for the inspiration! I'll have my first show on Saturday and I'm excited, but I'm also scared to death! I want the high that you have right now. I can't wait!!
Awesome transformation. You have good reason to have the confidence that you do. Now don't stop!!!

thanks everyone!
i now understand very well the whole competition craze...
spend all year round training hard, 12 weeks of dieting, including a final week of insane deprivation all just to have a few minutes of glory on stage infront of an audience.
TOTALLY WORTH IT!
I learned so much from this first show the next one I am going to come out a lot better!
Mahalos for your support!

You did it bro! Welcome to the club. I can't believe how well you put this together, simply you were on top of everything. Even your binge...LOL
I am glad you enjoyed it, you put it perfectly! Weeks of agony for a few moments on stage. Totally worth it! LOL Enjoy the good food, and the brand new muscle this offseason.
