another newbie
Hey fellas,
Was "obese" at 185 lbs 11 months ago, now I'm at 150, be sure to "critique the physique." I can see where dropping pullups from my routine really shrunk my lats..any other observations? Thanks.

Nice symmetry. Excellent conditioning. Congratulations. At 5' 9", I would like to see you at about 180-185. You would be an awesome natural competitor at that weight.

ok...
I figured if I post a pic here it might give me more motiviation......
So about me. I'm 39 and just started working out again in January. I've been pretty athletic my whole life but never a "bodybuilder" (worked out off and on for years). I'm 5' 6" and in January weighed in in 186 lbs. Since then I've been doing alot of cardio and some weights trying to concentrate on fat loss and I'm now at 163 lbs.
So please provide any advice suggestions. My thinking is to concentrate on the last 5-10 lbs of fat loss, but don't really have any ideas when it comes to building muscle. Never taken a supliment.
Anyway, me........

"Looks like a great base to build muscles on."
Thanks, years ago I was told I had a natural bodybuilders body......short muscles and a relatively small waist. But got fat and I've never tried to really build muscle.
In order to pack on muscle should I immediately get into suppliments or just begin to lift "heavy"?
Thanks.

Just lift heavy, eat and rest. Only supplements I would recommend is a good protein powder for when you can get to food and perhaps creatine if you want that fuller water retention look

I think that's what they call strategic product placement in that second photo.

45 years old. 5'8" @ 191 on stage this past April. I walk around at about 210 single digit bf%. Been lifting for over 20 years but this was my first show. I placed in the over 35 and over 45 categories. Judges said I have the physique but need to learn how to present (pose) it better. Actually one said, and I quote, "You're like a guy with a nice sports car, but you don't know how to drive it". Ouch. LOL.

you look to me like you?re posing pretty well in your photos! Competing is an ongoing process- you?re never going to reach a point that you can?t improve on something. The main thing is to try to learn and work on your weaknesses. You still look beter than 99.9% of the guys out there!
