Nice!!! You must be psyched to have finally gotten 225. You also did all those sets beforehand, so I'd say your max is probably around 230!

Halfway done with Smolov Jr. (bench). Gonna do a 1-week deload then test a new max.

I can't wait to see some of vids people are going to put in here...
"500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are."

Yea Jrahe that vid is legit. Must have missed it, think I went straight to 2nd page. My bad...lol
Some of the squat vids are epic...and some are ****in hilarious. I love seeing some people in the gym doing squats and deads...or just straight making up their own lifts...funny ****

I don't post here much, but I saw this thread and it looks like fun, so I guess I'm in lol. My PR is only 290 though, so 405 is pretty far off for me. As long as I'm progressing I'm happy though. Here's yesterday's bench workout. I didn't go too heavy on anything other than rows though. I'll try to update this as much as possible. Good luck to everyone else!
Bench Press:
180 x 5
210 x 5
235 x 5
Cable Rows:
215 x 7 x 4 sets
Tricep Pushdowns:
105 x 10 x 3 sets

Whats up guys, I am new in the forums myself and don't know much about what goes on . If anyone can give me info, that would be great..
As far as benching.
Do any of you use chains to train with?
Personal best bench:
315 *2
Incline Barbell: 255*5
I always start with incline, as I find it is the best pec developer.

Why use chains? It makes it progressively harder as the chain picks up off the floor? How much difference is there than just adding more weight (srs)
I can just picture bringing 60lbs of chain into la fitness.
"sup."

The chains really help you get past a sticking point, normally your sticking point is at the bottom of the lift, but not with chains. You hit your sticking point at the high end of coming up. As the links hit the floor going down, it gets lighter but coming up, they lift and it gets heavier(of course) . So , it' takes out that bottom sticking point, moves it to the top and overall makes you stronger.
I have mine stored in a locker in the gym. We have 2 that weigh 27 lbs each with collars attached.

Did week 6 of Ed coan today. Was still pretty easy
Flat 235x5x2 (Got 6 on last set)
CG 205x5x2 (Could have went forever)
Incline 195x5x2
Did 275 pretty easy at the end of flat so I think I've progressed a bit from the beginning of the program.
