ANY MD/Future MDs, RNs, LPNs, RDs or health professionals otherwise out there!!
Hey you folks...I think it's high time we unified...after all this whole thing is supposed to be about health right...not just the superficial!! At any rate, I am a lifetime student of all things about the body. Studied biochemistry at Cornell U. for undergrad...worked at Sloan-Kettering (NYC) as a lab technician doing basic research studying cell developent in fruitflies for cancer applications...went to U. of Wisconsin for a MS in Clinical Laboratory Science and at the same time was a Clinical research coordinator for SELECT (a 12 year national prostate cancer study funded by the NIH designed to assess the efficacy of vitamin supplementation on the reduction of prostate cancer incidence...basically a prostate cancer prevention study) and then picked up and started medical school at the University of Illinois-Chicago but I was on the Champaign-Urbana to Rockford, Illinois track...so here I am in Rockford, Illinois...about to take my USMLE Step 1 board exam in 10 days...I am anxious and decided to take a break and start this blog before sleep and doing what I do a lot of studying, working out, and training! I am a very part-time NSCA certified personal trainer working at the local YMCA here. At any rate, check out my blog...at the beginning of it I have a vision that I work a basic outline for and I will need the help of all you professional and future-pros to bring it to fruition...if you happen to share my passion! At any rate, get in touch...I know you are all out there cause I have run into some of you....MANIFEST YOURSELVES and let's stand up against OBESITY once and FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Hey I am a non-traditional future MD applicants.
Currently I am double majoring in Accounting and Finance.
Minor is Biology.
I have worked for the past 2 years as an Intern for a Financial Firm.
I love the world of finances and no need to brag I am really good at what I do. But I am missing that sense of fulfillement after a long day at work. Than came the calling.
So, I added a extra year to my studies and intend to apply to Medical school in 2009. Hopefully I will get in. My goal is to be ripped by the time I apply to med school.

Another medical student (Starting Med 2). I'm in the midwest not too far from you.
Good luck with the Step 1 studying.
I had to take some NBME subject exams during Med 1 and they were a pain. Made me realize that I need to put in more time, especially now that it's soon to be Med II.

THere's always time to pursue hobbies or extra activities. You put in some quality study hours and then go do whatever afterwards. Think of studying like a job. Do your 6-8 hours and you're done for the day.
I remember interviewing at Albany a couple of years ago. They had a good cop/bad cop thing with two interviewers.

Hahaha...you crack me up my friend....a little jealous or envious or something....maybe a little confused too....keep your money and lift big circles man...you obviously have to find some way of dweedling your time outside of putting other people down...maybe you should go to a pull-up bar and pick yourself up a few times get your self-esteem out of the pits...hahahah! Good luck with whatever you finally figure out for yourself superman!!! You could use some affirmative action yourself too!!!! With all that money you make why are you worried about the democrats getting you free healthcare...your IQ is clearly out of this world so why am I wasting my time with you....not sure...gotta go take my affirmative action elsewhere...better things to do!!

Man...I have created a monster I am just trying to get people who know a little something about health together...I didn't mean to hurt anybodies feelings or make peeps jealous...this is supposed to be a unifying...meet and greet sort of deal....I used 'health professionals otherwise'....tell your fiancee that means here too...it means a lot of other people too personal trainers public health folks, med techs...etc etc. Whoever wants to be involve and has something positive or intellectual to contribute...everybody on bb.com is welcome really because isn't that what this is all supposed to be about....controlling your life and making conscientious decisions to be the best that you can!!! That's really what I am talking about...that's who this thread is for! At any rate, I hope people keep coming out of the word work

Actually I put it together myself believe from what I have read and experienced...if you bother look at my profile and read about my experiences you can see that I have a lot of exposure to health, fitness, and nutrition by default...it does flatter me though that you think I cut and pasted it...I must be pretty good...well you should stay tuned my friend...the best is to come...I am starting a website with experienced personal trainers (like myself), and a record-holding powerlifter so you might want to study up on that blog and see what comes from me next....if you truly want to better your physique and strength...otherwise, if you want to wine about my cut and pasting and check out my profile and watch as I stay cut and strong while you sit and whine that is all in your own hands my friend...do as you wish...free world, but some of us just have to stand out...and the rest...well...like I said your fate is in your hands!!!

My physique and strength are fine.
IMHO, you are creating hype so you can make a website with lots of traffic and will create good amounts of revenue.
Your post doesn't reflect on your apparent level of education.
