Haha.
I can pretty much tell you how everyone would react to a certain physique before they even post in the thread. Steve and Luke will always be extremely doubtful of just about any decent-sized natty, while Nick and Jason will usually be just slightly skeptical. Casey usually thinks everyone close to meeting the predictions is natty and will go in depth as to why.

If you're unaware, the guy competes @ 5'7 198 lbs in the IFBB and insists he's natural lol. Obvious fraud is obvious.

I've seen it too and the guy did a great job.
However, I don't believe Willet's bullsh!t for one second. No natural has ever come anywhere close to his size. Jim Cordova, John Harris, and Dave Goodin are the cream of the crop in natural bodybuilding among guys 5'7, however Willet has 30 lbs on all of them. It just pisses me off when guys like that mislead people then use the 'ol "don't limit yourself reach for the stars" argument to justify their claims. It's fine to ignore limits since doing so pushes most people to be the best they can be in bodybuilding, but when you gain 30 lbs from drugs and go around saying sh!t like that to mislead everyone, you're going to end up with a lot of disappointed individuals in the long run.

Ha.
I actually searched Skip Lacour's name a couple times over there and from what I can remember I couldn't find anything. I don't know Skip's height or weight, but I'm fairly sure he's in the category of John Hansen. In other words, he probably did PHs or something for a couple years and realized the drugs weren't worth it, so he probably turned to natural bb'ing as a result and dropped the gear. That's my guess.

Ahhh, a stumpy Dubliner. Wink I'm from Newfoundland, Canada, so I'm quite familiar with things Irish.
Really thick people are outliers on the upper end of the regression because the regression is based on lean competitive bodybuiders who tend to be very mesomorphic. But even then they seem to be a relatively fixed percentage above a more mesomorphic lifter.
Just as an example of how much lean body mass (LBM) can differ when bodybuilders drop down into the single-digit bodyfat levels for contests, here's U.K. bodybuilder John Berry's stats as he got ready for the BNBF Central Championships (I'm using these stats because they're readily available on the 'net)...
Assuming he has an average skeletal structure for his height of 5'5.5", John Berry's lean body mass should be 153.3 to 157.5 lbs, depending on his exact joint circumferences.
On 1/04/06 Berry weighed 176 lbs at 11% b.f. --> LBM = 156.6 lbs
On 2/05/06 Berry weighed 167 lbs at 9% b.f. --> LBM = 152.0 lbs
On 3/06/06 Berry weighed 158.4 lbs at 6.9% b.f. --> LBM = 147.5 lbs
On 1/07/06 Berry weighed 151.8 lbs at 6.4% b.f. --> LBM = 142.1 lbs
His anticipated weight and body fat at the contest on 30/07/06 (assuming after carb loading and proper hydration) = 147.4 - 151.8 lbs at 5-5.5% --> LBM = 140.0 - 144.2 lbs
So Berry lost over 12 lbs of LBM in going from 11% to 5-6.5% b.f. At 11% he carried the LBM that would be predicted for his structure, but in "contest" shape he carried 12 lbs less LBM. Jon Harris, however, held his LBM right at the predicted maximum when he won the 2006 WNBF World Championship. So, in the off-season, Berry seems to have the raw muscle mass to compete at the world level, but he lost it in pre-contest phase. That ability to retain muscle when dropping bodyfat is probably the difference between regional champions and world champions. Of course, his muscle loss was also probably due to either an overly restrictive diet or a poorly designed pre-contest training program, or both. But it does illustrate that many drug-free bodybuilders seem to exceed the predicted LBM maximums during the "off-season" -- they may carry that LBM when they're "fatter" but they don't carry it as the contest approaches.
Using myself as an example. Right now, at ~16% bodyfat (as of this morning), I have about 1.5 lbs more LBM than my equation predicts as my maximum (after 15 years of very serious training). I'm in the process of going down to 6-8% bodyfat. When I get there it's a practical guarantee that I won't have that much LBM, and I don't have the long muscle bellies throughout every muscle group as do the more gifted mesomorphs. The last time I dieted down I was 3-7 lbs shy of that maximum (depending on hydration, time of day, etc.).
When I first formulated these equations I was a little disappointed that I was already very close to my maximums. But, realistically, after 18 total years of training, there isn't much muscle left to be gained by this drug-free body. Now it comes down to impoving weak points and overall symmetry.
I think you should definitely make the films. And diet down to the single-digits and track your lean body mass while you're doing it ...I need more data on heavy-set endomorphs. Smiley

Great post! Goes to show you how lean you really need to be to get down to contest shape.
If you look at page 2, Casey states that LaCour had an FFMI of 30. Top naturals don't have any higher than 25-26, and Arnold for example had an FFMI of 28. I believe we have our answer now lol.

Fell asleep ~ 5:30 just woke up a few minutes ago haha. Being a lazy ass bum ftw.
Speaking of which, I thought my next summer course started tomorrow but I just realized that it starts in a month. This gives me more of an incentive to stay up late for no reason at all.

Ha, at least he admitted it. I called it though
Jim Cordova is a great example why proportions are so important in bodybuilding. If you took his measurements, your mouth would drop when you see how small they are, but he gives off the illusion that he's much bigger than he really is. If he made a post here with just his measurements and no pics, I'm sure most of the teen section would think nothing of them. This is why I like Cordova.... he doesn't need to be big to look huge.

I tried the 90 degree parallel arm thing and I think I can fit around 1.5-2 fingers, so what does that mean? Seems good, but who knows. Crazy thing about that is though is if you look at a lot of the elite bodybuilders of all-time, some of them didn't have extremely "full" muscle bellies (even Ronnie's bicep was somewhat highly inserted, but just had a ****load of mass).

Summer classes are great... much easier than taking classes in the fall imo. I go to Stockton.

O hai RDRB, I forgot you changed your account to tYg3rA lol.
Most ectos can fit 3 I believe, so 2 is pretty good. I can fit 2 fingers in there, but less is better. Guys will very full muscle bellies can barely fit one.
I noticed the same thing about Ronnie, which surprised me. I believe most of his muscle bellies are full, but even elite guys like ROnnie don't always have full bellies throughout their whole bodies.
