WORKOUT "Jackies Breakfast Shake"

Does anoyone here watch workout? They always talk about her breakfast shake. She says what's in it a few times but says it so fast. Does anyone know what is in it and how much.

Protien powder
Flax oil (cold pressed)
Amino Acids
Fresh Fruit


Ok did she use water or milk? Is there anything else I am missing?

Has anyone tried the Liquid Amino Acids?

I thought I was going to gag.... just wondering everyone's opinion. The Shake was really good otherwise.

Yeah, I tried just the amino acids to see what it would taste like, yucky! But mixed in to the shake it wasn't so bad.

You should not take liquid amino acids.

Amino acids supplements = waste of money and bad for the body. Jackie's show while very entertaining is HORRIBLE in giving advice for health and fitness.

The movements she was doing with those clients was all wrong.

1350 calories a day was her suggestions for their fat loss.

She is not a fitness expert but she is one hell of a business woman, don't get it confused.

Why are amino acids bad for the body?

I know what you mean about her advice for fat loss. I was like whoa.... That is way too low for those people....

I don't understand why you think they are harmful to your body. We obviously need it. Bodybuilders even more so.

P.S. Jackie has 2 personal trainer certifications.

As for calories.....A friend of mine weighs around 250lbs and the doctor has put her on a 1200 calorie diet and has her working out. I don't agree with it but that is the norm for doctors and nutritionists.

Well I have more certs than that but that also means nothing. Doctors and RD's...same thing.

I also didn't say amino acids were bad for you, I said supplement ones. There are some supplements in which the body uses well, however there are some your body does not. There is no need to take amino acids supplements in a liquid form, especially along side Whey. Whole foods are king. Don't confuse things just because someone is on TV and talks like they know what they are talking about.

Don't trust me either, do your own research

Since that recipe says in addition to whey and other protein powders, that's gonna put more stress on your liver since it has to break it all down. Even if supplementation is needed there is still a limit to what your body can actually put to use and that won't tax your body too much to process. As the BB.com page says, "There are no side effects with proper supplementation."
