Question 24 or 48 hours to recovery?

Okay heres the deal. I work and haved worked at a few differant health clubs and even though some things are consistant as far as the advise that personal trainers give out, some things always tend to differ from trainer to trainer.
One of my biggest questions is, How long should a muscle group rest before going back to train with it. I've heard 24hr's and I've also heard 48hr's. Does it just differ for each individual?

Well, battle it out, and let me know!

I would go with the 48 hours of recovery time, one of the big things that will hurt your growth is not getting enough rest time. I personally only work each body part only once per week, this is more of a comfort thing for me since I used to train each part twice. I started feeling tired when I would come in to do the same muscle group for the second time that week. Though this is all from a personal stand point and may not be the same for you. If you are going to be training twice per week, I would suggest to do your back/bi's together as well as your chest and tri's so that both muscle groups have enough time to rest and recover. Hope this helps.
