I'm potentially moving from wing to scrum half. Does anyone have any tips about playing as a scrum half?

well thats another cancled game gota love the scottish weather. this now makes my season atleast another month longer as thats us at 4games cancled. think i might start taking 'risks' in the gym on fridays nights maybe do a bit more fitness as i reckon from now untill feb there is more chance of a game being off than on.

Moved 2000 miles to BC to play rugby for a certain club that recruited me, found me lodging, got me a job, etc
Slow slide to the 3rds team since I got here, got laid off from the job they got for me.
Being forced to accept that i'll probably never play for Canada and should focus on something that will actually make me happy (a real career) rather than something that has made me miserably stressed and depressed for the last year (rugby)

Tell me about it, not able to train on grass at the moment due to the fact you can't actually see our pitches.

Awesome. You better come back here and let us know how it was.
Other news: Played my (most likely) last match for my current club yesterday, as I'm moving to finish up my Bachelor's Degree (Texas Tech). Sloppy, sloppy game. Their short-s**t flyhalf would tuck his head between his legs every time I'd get near him (trying to get the ref to call high tackling?), so we just started drilling his legs. Seemed to work pretty well, as he started having all sorts of issues keeping his hands on the ball. We won 22-0, but it should have been about 50+. We played about on the same level as Texas played Nebraska last night.

Depending on your speed & quickness and ability to kick and make good decisions when kicking the ball(which you will learn over time) you could play any number of backline positions. Fullback, which is very important as a last line of defence, as well as breaking into the line on attack, could be a good fit for you. If you are good at distributing the ball you could also work your way in the centres. As for your size, I believe that you would be big enough to play on the openside flank, and use your athleticism both on offence as well as on defence. Playing stand-off (flyhalf) is a very crucial position on the field and with your size, and like you said athleticism, you could be a great fit at running your backline.

The movie was great, the action scenes could have been better, kinda saw that coming though.

True. Hard to put a bunch of action in a movie that U.S. audiences don't understand the concept.
