Impressive leg workout...
It seems that you almost always look forward to going to the gym. Do you ever hit a wall? How do you stay motivated?
I mean, you look great, and I would kill to have results like you. Is that where you find motivation? What ever it is, it is working and I want to find that as well.
I guess I'm asking because, I know you have a full time job and a full time family yet you seem to be able to balance all of that as well as get great workouts in. I am trying to figure out that balance too.

I love going to the gym. That's "my" time when I can focus on me and completely block out the rest of the world...it keeps me grounded. Not only this, but I've been doing it for so many years, it's part of my daily routine. It's no different than doing laundry, dishes, making dinner, homework with kids, etc...it's on my list of daily things to do and I'm ok with that.
There are many things that keep me motivated. My bb and competing has always been my passion. I've always looked at it as an art. My body is my canvas and I work hard to create/mold the best package I can for the stage. I'm always excited to watch my transformation as the process is amazing.
I'm also motivated by watching/following others around me. I enjoy working with my clients to help them reach new goals. I love following journals of people working hard, watching them reach new PR's, bust through plateaus, etc...Everyone constantly supporting each other every single day because we want nothing more then to see each other succeed. Going to shows to watch and cheer on my friends who have busted their asses for months doing preps, the list goes on and on...but this is what keeps me motivated and driven to stay on my path...I can't thank these people enough.
Yes, I hit a huge wall back on 06. I made the mistake of dieting for entire year to compete in 7 shows. I got hungry and decided to chase a pro card, which was the biggest mistake I ever made. I walked away with ton of hardware, but still no pro card and I was upset and angry as hell...because I wasn't good enough. I pushed myself beyond the max and by the time my 7th show was getting close, I got really sick and one day collapsed on the gym floor during my posing practice. My body couldn't take anymore, I was completely over dieted/over trained...I dropped out of the show because I had totally burnt myself out.
I forgot why I had started competing in the first place. It was never about the wins, it was because I loved competing, it was a great hobby and it was fun.
So I found my way back to the old Kim and it feels good.

Great workout Kimm and very nice job on the Chins. You can probably do more of these than 90% of the guys out there.
Thanks for sharing the story as well.
