I don't want a regular joe-blow to be President, I would like someone who is educated and elite, that's why I don't understand when some conservatives say that s a candidate is an elitist in a negative tone. Shouldn't we all strive to be "elite" at something? It's a syndrome in this country nowadays, and it's called willful ignorance. It happens on both sides too, that's why I hate hippies.

Based on your definition, I still wouldn't say "far and away" superior. The fact is we have no idea if we're seeing her true colors or not. Her missteps during the campaign, her missteps as a mother, and her sudden departure from the governors office clearly to ride the gravy train she boarded when McCain nominated her, raises serious doubts about her integrity. She's no "Mrs. Smith".

Are you saying that hippies don't strive to be educated and elite?

She's not a lawyer so that gets her a WHOLE lot of extra points. She wouldn't compose an inscrutible 2000 page document to create an insurance policy for poor people so lots of ponts there. Plus she realizes that the Constitution forbids the Federal government from forcing people to buy something, you know, like health insurance.

Can you guys please enlighten me please. Is this edited out of context or is this really Sarah Palin. Seems like a sketch from either Chappelle show or the daily show. What were the republicans thinking, did they actually want to lose. I'm confused.

Of course it's all out of context but the video is not dishonest. That's really Sarah Palin and that's how she is. She speaks in soundbites and when pressed for more detail, she stumbles. She's not unlike those people standing in line at her book signing - all platitudes and no substance.

A lot of what she says is pretty inscrutable if you ask me. Can't tell if she realizes anything or if she's just playing a role. I get the feeling someone is pulling her strings.
