OK this one has me cold
I've tried to rationalize my way out of being a gym idiot up until this post.
Not only am I intimidated by women who work out heavy...I'm flat scared of them.

I completely agree with you. I've seen so many kids drop out in 6th grade just to start a diet regimen and lift to compete in a show. It's sad really. They don't realize diploma's actually build muscle....

A few guys box squats but with a bench instead. But I don't even think they knew they were doing box squats. More like there just to catch them in case they go too low their first time since the bench is lower than parallel anyways. And they're mostly like 40+ year old guys, so reps to them for trying.

actually most benches are well above parallel and this 40+ guy can outsquat just about everyone on here so......

i have a soldier who has all kinds of suppments but never goes to the gym, one my buddies has a soldier who is on roids but works out once a week for 30 min, and then tells him how to train!

I have had a lot of friends who are like that. Heck, I've probably even been guilty a time or two of laughing at someone else in the gym. I remember when I first started out, though. I was intimidated by every big guy in the gym. Thankfully, I met a few who were totally cool and willing to help a newbie out. Of course there's always that guy who brushes you off when you try to help and continues to make everyone else cringe when he tries to one up everyone on the weights and uses horrible form. That guy is not only a gym idiot, but a dbag as well.

ok, one thing i really hate, the gym i train at has no AC really, its a tent. well the fans the set up to at lease keep the air moving, there is always one ass clown who stands in front of it to cool off, but not showered since who knows when, and you got the one guy who smells like he shyte himself over on the mats doing abs

I have never seen a bench that was lower than parallel.
