whose had their TONSILS removed?

im laying here in bed with a severe case of tonsilitis...

taking meds...doc said if it doesnt get better they may have to remove them...

doc said as an adult its a real bad procedure and recovery...

I had mine removed when I was 10 i think.. didn't talk for 3 days parents were worried and then was forced to ice cream (srs) like 4 hours after the thing, I don't think it was that bad.

Mine catch everything (no homo) and I kind of wish they were taken when younger. There is MUCH more bloodflow to them when you are older.

had mine removed... used to get really nad tonsilittis when i was younger,, now i dont get any problems.... got mine removed when i was like 12 i think

Had mine removed the day before the VTech Massacre, because i was laid up in bed for a week only to be able to watch the same bull**** on every channel. I was about 17 at the time, maybe 18 and it ****ing sucked. Im also a diabetic so i HAD to eat/drink the day of to keep my blood sugar at a reasonable level. But since then i havnt gotten strep throat. (Used to get it 2-3x a year)

I've had chronic tonsillitis for the past 2 years but have refused to get the surgery. Finally getting them out december 15th. fuuuuu it's gonna suck

I had mine taken out when I was 20. It hurt so bad after surgery I hardly ate anything for a week (and I'm never shy when it comes to eating). The second week the scabs begin to fall off but since they inside of your throat where it is moist, they just turn into sores and that process hurts like hell!

I would still do it all over again because I have not had a sore throat in 4 years after getting them every other month.

get them removed, all they are doing is trapping small food particles and causing recurrent infections. Pain last for maybe 3 days before they start to crust up but you can begin to eat semi solid food then.

they give u an injection you wake up with a needle in your vain and you won't remember a thing its kool

Brah i had mine taken out about a year ago when i was 26. The only reason why they say the surgery is horrible is cause grown ups complain so much about the pain. I was in bed for about a day and 1/2 on perks. i really didn't eat anything for a day, j ust wanted to drink alot of cold water. It feels like a bad case of strep. After about 3 days it gets better where you can eat semi hole foods like some eggs and some bread after about a week youll be fine. Little bit sore sometimes but youll be good. its not that bad.

Ha i remember before i was going into the surgery last year, because my hands and arms are so vascular, they had some nursing students come over and check out what a perfect patient i was and showed them how to stick the needle in. then the drug lady came over and gave me some stuff and like i couldn't feel a thing, but was still awake and talking then everything started slowing down and then i woke up in the recovering room.

I had mine taken out at age 15. When I woke up from surgery I threw up blood everywhere. It was so bad both my parents vommited and fainted. When I awoke from my vomit spree I was forced to drink water every 10 mintues to help the healing process.


Two weeks went by and I still could not talk and I was starting to get servere pain in my left ear. The pain was so bad I actually cried (srs). It was so bad I went back to the doctor and got a full blown shot in the ass of Demoral. I was so ****ing high nothing could kill me.

Got prescribed pill form demoral (not as good). That week I had never been so high in my life tbh. Felt good man.

Another week went by and I eventually started to feel better and eat and talk.

Now thats it's over im glad cause I had huge ****ing tonsils but damn did that suck.

can u get them removed by asking a doctor for it, or u have to be ill?

when I was a kid I had chronic tonsillitis. It was afing bad, temperatures upto 40, hallucinations. bad memories
