For profit its against the law, but to just "show" an image is not. Images hosted online are considered public domain. As long as the photo issues no slander/negative meaning and is not associated with any company or for profit its okay although borderline sue-worthy.
I know, I'm a misc lawyer. On my way to becoming misc doctor too.

did the jeep brah guy take that picture himself, caption it with "jeep brah" and copyright it? i don't think so.
plus, i would easily argue that his likeness isn't being used...but a parody of his likeness. the rules change when it's a parody.
