I agree with you on all of those except Eduardo, and not just cause I'm an Arsenal fan. All the other players you mentioned dive and flop around on a regular basis. Eduardo did it just once, so it's rather unfair to have him that company.
Eboue on the other hand....I'd say he's right up there with Drogba as one of the worst. Though not so much because of actual diving, but moreso from making every tiny foul look like he was shot in the back by a high-powered rifle.
And you might as well add Babel and Gerrard to that list too.

1. eduardo - recieved a lot of public sympathy after his leg injury which he repaid by collapsing then winking into the tv camera against celtic. wenger, arsenal and uefa also came out of this display of f.aggotry badly
2.eboue - 'nuff said
3. illunga - west ham carthorse looked like he had been hit by mike tyson after being pushed by kenwyne jones. steve clarkes protests when trying to defend the indefencable on sky sports news made him look like a muppet as well.
4. drogba - 15 stone powerhouse who can be knocked over by a feather!
5. carvalho - can give it out but cant take it. sneaky bas.tard
6. n'gog - hopeless chancer who'll never be good enough disgraces liverpool's once proud name in their mid-table clash with brum
7. vidic - hard as nails centreback with a turning circle like the QE2 currently in the backpocket of a mr f.torres of liverpool. i dont mind the rugby tackles but dont make out you've been elbowed son
to be continued...............nani, berbatov, fabregas, ashley young, malouda, michael brown, ben haim, chimbonda

i'd say gerrard is the worst of them all, not because he dives the most but because he said a number of times how hes strongly against cheating

Agreed. Rooney is bad as well since he was so anti-diving and then a few days after he made a big deal about it in the media, he had that awful dive. I guess it's an English thing to be so hypocritical and delusional.

He could have simply ran normally and Carsley's challenge wouldn't have touched him. If you think that he did it to avoid injury then you have no business ever commenting on the sport again.
Even if Carsley stays on his feet and challenges Ngog, he would have went down. He was always looking for the penalty.

Right here. That's the first thing I thought when I saw the extended highlights.
He really should be banned, that was just awful and frankly, embarrassing. Same goes for Evans' kung fu kick on Drogba - how the hell can you even try to explain that away?

article i liked on football365 by john nic :
Until not all that long ago, if some big hairy gibbon kicked you up into the air, you would get up as though nothing had happened.
"You think you hurt me? Pah! Bigger men than you have failed, son, get away with you before I lose my temper," you'd say, brusquely, even if only your sock was keeping your leg attached to your foot. You would rather pass out from the pain than let the man know he'd hurt you. Showing pain was showing weakness.
Then sometime in the late 90s, being a wuss became fashionable. Outpourings of grief were de rigeur as men got in touch with their feminine side - but not any of the good feminine bits, not the multi-tasking, multiple orgasms and sensitive nipples, oh no, we just got the PMT elements of over-reaction and over-wrought emotion.
And so footballers began to contort their faces and throw themselves to the ground in anguish at the mere sound of a defender's footstep. And today we have the ridiculous spectacle of seeing extraordinary physical specimens of men flapping like a run-over seagull after the merest brush with a defender, sometimes signalling for the stretcher or an ambulance only to miraculously recover two minutes later. Others just walk off if they've been hurt and refuse to play on. Man up you simpering nancy boys or hand your genitals in on the way out.

When did the line become so blurred between diving and being genuinely fouled?
Fuk it sh i ts me how soft these professionals are
Playing League football you never give anyone the satisfaction of knowing they hurt you and always stay on your feet if you can .....anyone that dives is sledged so hard they would soon get it out of their game or get belted in back play
I'm sure footballers of the 80's didn't dive like today
Makes our sport look weak
Edit: Agree with above post!

give the kid a break. He is a very good lad who just made 1 mistake. After watching his performance yesterday this guy can defintely be a real good player in the future. He was taking player on with ease and showing pace, once he beefs up abit gets more exp and keeps improving as he is a young fella he could be good. Its up to him.

well obviously gerrard is the worst, thats why i single him out, he talks how ronaldo and carvalho are damaging football, how if he saw his teammate dive hee'd definitely have a word with him . . . he tries so hard to wash himself of all the cheating he does its pathetic.
I know you scousers are butthurt when someone calls your great captain a diving cun-t , but to be honest he is a diving cun-t and only you scousers dont see it.

aside from drogba id say gerrard is up there as the worst diver AND the most outspoken against it...although drogba quietly accepts hes a diving cnut.

What's a dive discussion without one of the greatest dives in recent memory -
this one always gets me
edit: actually, the more I watch it, the more I think that it's probably the worst dive of all time.

This right here is just embarrassing. No wonder football and footballers have become a laughing stock; wtf is that ****?
FA's really need to do something about this and start banning these nancy boys.

thing is most of the time when he gets a penalty there is actual contact. And cheating my ass most of the time he is right in what he does he gets contact he goes down and asks the ref wtf was that then its the refs decision.
You dont see stevie go down like Ronaldo and Carvalho where they roll around like they got shot or fedor just delivered a right hand to their jaw now do you? Case in point just look at Carvalho in the last match where he rolled around like he got shot

I agree they're different. Ronaldo would act like he'd been shot when he got the slightest touch....but he wouldn't go down unless he had been touched. Gerrard on the other hand, he doesnt even need to be near another player to go to ground. Ronaldo may have been more obvious, but Gerrard is far, far worse.

you have to be taken the piss if you actually think Gerro is worse than Ronaldo. Ronaldo wouldnt go down unless he been touched ive seen him get his foot stuck in the ground and fall then look at the ref and get awarded a free kick. Watch the game against Chelsea last season i think it was where he fell and kick Lampards foot and he got the foul. Lampard looked at him like WTF! and ronaldo smiled and gave him a wink.

Every player has proved once a diver, always a diver. This won't be the last time we see Ngog dive, although the next time might be in Ligue 2.

Lolwut?
C Ronaldo is unquestionably the biggest, highest-profile diver in the world. Gerrard and Rooney are ironic because they rip divers and then go dive in games, but Ronaldo has consistently dived EVERY GAME at least since he was playing for Sporting.

n'gog - diving, cheating piece of crap
drogba - diving, cheating piece of crap
eduardo - diving, cheating piece of crap
ronaldo - diving, cheating piece of crap
^^^
this is not even up for discussion. the frankly pathetic defence of any of these players is short sighted in the extreme. if you know anything about football and sport in general you will condemn them for their actions. these are all grown men and must reap what they sow. just because 3 of them are good footballers, the other plays for liverpool and you go to sleep in a pair of arsene wenger pajarma's changes nothing - they. are. cheats!

Yeah, but it's kind of like this:
One guy steals a car once. The other guy steals a car every week for 10 years.
Who's the more disgraceful thief?
A car is a bad example, but you get the idea.

This is why that eduardo incident was handled in a disgraceful way. He has dived ONCE in a career where he also got his leg severely broken. Yet he got more abuse for that dive than the guy that broke his leg got!!

Anyone here play Fifa 2010 Manager Mode? I am currently in my 5th season with Ajax, pretty much made them into a 5 start team.... Sold all the old players from the club and brought players from other clubs, Brought Miranda from brazil he was like a 75, brought him for like 4 million, ended up selling him at level 85 for 17 million ....major profit... last season I won the Champions League...Currently Im 3 matched into my 5th season, with 40million in the bank...at the end of the season I am gonna probably buy Benzema

The gameplay is great this year, but Manager Mode is glitchy as hell. I'm just waiting for the day when someone can combine Fifa's gameplay with Football Manager's management side.
