[So] My landlord gave me 30-days to GTFO
For the most retarded reason ever. Backstory:
I just moved to this place less than a month ago because I relocated from out of state. There is a couple in late 20's who own the house and rent a few rooms out. It's close to work, and the people are quiet - perfect!
Everything thing is going smoothly and I paid Novembers rent on time then something happened last Sunday. I was sitting in the common area playing some video games on my computer and the girl landlord invites a friend over who has some loud destructive kids over. I don't say anything because I am in the common area and they can make as much noise as they want as long as they aren't screaming and breaking things - reasonable right? A few hours later they leave all the while I'm listening to the kids bull**** but not saying anything. Football starts and I load up the game on my laptop (there is no TV in the common area) and sit on the couch.
The bitch landlord asks me to take it to my room because it's disruptive and she wants to relax because she works a lot and cleans (not my problems). Here is how the conversation went:
 = female landlord
 = me
- can you go upstairs and watch football it's really distracting (she was cooking)
- I can turn it down if it's too loud not a problem
- no please go to your room I work hard everyday and clean and I don't want to listen to football while I relax (ok whatever MOM)
- I don't understand why this is a problem. It's at a reasonable volume AND this is the common area thats what you do. and besides you just had 3 loud kids over for a few hours and I didn't say a thing...because I was in the COMMON AREA.
- DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO IN MY HOUSE
- LOL I'm not, just like im not moving to watch football because I'm staying right here. Your request isn't reasonable and I told you no.
( - THIS ARRANGEMENT ISNT WORKING OUT THEN
I woke up this morning and was given notice that I had 30 days to leave and find a new place to live. I'm sure they would have told me yesterday but I got home late and we didn't cross paths.
Was she the hugest bitch in the world or not? The events I wrote are EXACTLY as they happened.

Because the couch is comfortable and one of the other roommates was watching with me. Why should I leave because she asks? It's not like I was sitting in her bedroom. If it was late or loud I can understand, but at a normal volume there shouldn't be a problem. A part I left out in the story was when I asked what she would do if a roommate bought a TV for the common area then what? She said she wouldn't allow it LOL

If you have a lease they might be unable to do this. You can fight it even if there is no lease, but it sounds like a bad situation anyway. Find a place where you can live with some peers. Moving in with families is a terrible idea.

It's a month to month arrangement. The only problem is I JUST paid for November and I already paid for December up front. So either I need to stay until Jan 1 or recieve my deposit back.

Part of me wants to say "**** **** up" but in all honesty its probably best just to get your deposit and bounce. Sounds like she is a bitch and will get whats coming to her. Now if they cheat you out of your upfront deposit.... then you have a reason to raise some hell.

Her and her husband were actually pretty nice too but she did complain a lot. I used the bathroom downstairs once (not a #2) and when I came out she asked me to not use the bathroom there because she cleans it and I had to use the one upstairs. I saw the next day there was a stickynote on the mirror giving a warning to the tennants not to use the bathroom...
She also left sticky notes all over the house saying when she cleaned the table or floor or whatever and not to make a mess. They kind of annoyed me but I didn't pay too much attention. She whines a lot to her husband and he is a total yes man to her.
