Cats- Rant
Spent a night last weekend in a hotel. I understand about smoking/ nonsmoking, but animals traveling with people irritate me. I am severely allergic to cats, but unfortunately some people travel with their cats and allow them to sleep on the pillows or on the bed. If a cat has ever slept on a bed or on the pillows I wake up with runny nose, red eyes, ect. I've tried bring my own pillow, but I have to get rid of it when I return home in case it picked up cat dander. I know I cant change people, and many dont consider how their actions inpact others. But I just wanted to rant. Thanks

As a cat owner, I agree with you 100%. Its no different from checking in to a room and smelling smoke where there isn't supposed to be any. The previous guest probably violated a rule or two, and at the very least was just plain inconsiderate.
Unless, of course, it was a seeing eye cat... and I'm not even sure those exist.

I think the fault lies with the hotel owner. Most people pay a supplement for the animals to stay - that supplement it to cover extra cleaning and maybe the replacement of linen.

As the owner of 3 cats, how the phuck do you travel with a cat. I can't get my cats in a box, can't get them in the car, can't take them anywhere.

How odd, I open the car door and look at my cat and say get in...and she does.
She likes to sleep in the back window and sometimes come up to bug the crap out of you for ear scratches.
Of course if your cat only goes in the car for rides to the vet one could understand why they might be reluctant to trust the whole car issue.

I think they were "traumatized" when we moved into our current house. My in-laws have a cat the sneaks into vehicles and we've been half way home when we notice we have an extra passenger and have to take him back.

If not in a box, then with a fox? Do you try to take them in the rain, or have you tried to take them on a train?

Not in a box
Not with a fox
Not in the rain
Not on a train
I can not take them here or there, I can not take them anywhere...

They will travel in a box or with a fox. Certainly not in the rain and doubtfully on a train. I must consider in a truck but what poor luck if we're stuck.
