naw, it's such a douche move. It's a step below guys that take photos of themselves in front of a mirror after they're all dressed up with their hair done.
i get compliments and looks when my shirt is off which is only in the appropriate situation (when im swimming) so im chill with my body. But I would never use a topless posing shot as a profile pic ... that just screams CHECKMEOUT. I wouldn't even have a separate album of my posing and/or progress pictures unless it was on a site dedicated to lifting/fitness.
i mean if you just gotta photo brag on your facebook, try to use a picture that someone else took of you at a beach or pool. Group shot is even better especially when you're not the only one with a shirt off.

you wouldn't work hard to buy a new sportscar then leave it in your garage right?

how about if I change my profile picture in facebook to my progress like this?
what you think?

To me the general rule seems to be: you took the picture/actually posing = wanker, but somebody else taking a pic of you just being swole without posing = legit and just fine to put up.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with it and I like it a lot... I have a mac and can't figure out how to edit pictures and put them side by side like that... but if I could I would do the same thing.
What can someone say negative about that? you worked hard and accomplished a lot!
My bf is a pro fighter and his default is when he won a champ belt in mexico for the same reason, he worked hard and accomplished something.
That's just one example but I'm sure there are plenty other athletes that do the same thing.
Your default should be something you are proud of, for whatever reason.

honestly man i wouldnt put that kind of picture on facebook. but thats only because i find my body as a personal accomplishment and if you put it out there for everyone else to see theyre just gonna bash at something you might hold pride in.
on a side note. nice delts. theyre not exactly in proportion to your arms but theyre definitely noticable

do not like this analogy. sportscars are something you buy to show off social power. muscles are invested in to show your physical and mental power. not saying its not an anology for some, due to their reasons of showing off to girls, but i think it goes far beyond that. proving to yourself that you can do something, and not to others.

i dnt see a problem with it if you want to, but ur probably gona get **** about it js
but i shouldn't bother you if your proud of your progress
imo its only a tool move if you do it just to trying to show off and ur just being a cocky douche about it
but imo i wouldn't, or at least not a shirtless 1

not worth it IMO.
ever really looked at the 900 comments on lorenzo beckers photos? he's ****ing huge and uses his facebook as a progress site, but all his real friends in france will comment saying "when are you going to post a picture not being a total show-off"
my 2 cents? if lorenzo gets trashed for it, then i am not even close to being able to get away with it.

Depends. I just want to be happy with the way I look and I kind of want some praise for the kind of effort you have to put in to get a physique like that. Personally I think you deserve to show off a bit if you were that dedicated.
I'm not saying I want everyone to be taking topless photo's, but I have nothing against people who do it. It really depends what they wanted to achieve when they decided to go for their physique. Personal satisfaction/achievement? Social confidence? etc...

my point
and tbh you will never get the praise you really deserve. people who dont lift dont understand the amount of time and effort put into gaining muscle. the people that do lift and are smaller than you wont fully understand what it took to get to your point and the people bigger than you just see you as someone who hasnt reached their tier yet.
which is exactly why you have to lift for yourself.

you look like a tool bag, remove immediately. im not even trying to be an ******* but seriously those kind of pics are not well received especially by people who dont lift weights..
heres a tip: try to keep normal life and bodybuilding seperate. normal people just dont understand it. plus, if you go around saying your a bodybuilder, people are expecting you to be jacked and if you cant live up to their expectations......you get the point
not to mention i dont know how old you are but in highschool you will encounter a few kids who dont even lift/dont take it seriously at all but still surpass you muscularly/strengthwise and it makes you look foolish, claiming to be a "bodybuilder" when some kid can effortlessly surpass you

I got added by random girls from my school all the time when I had this pic up, lulz:
Need another one like that with my current more-jackedness, plus the hair and **** is different now so it doesn't look much like me.
No one ever talked **** about it at all, said it was gay, etc. People were mirin hard, girls were all over it, etc. Maybe you guys are just known as ***gots around your schools so people just assume it's another sign of your immense ***gotry.
