DAMN! the Cpl, 2 Marines to your right looks JUST LIKE Sandoval from my old unit. He got out on a medical 2 years ago as a SSgt. and is now running a pool building company with his dad.

Unaware question:
The two Marines in Service uniforms are they wearing that (probably) because they don't own a Dress uniform? Or another reason?

Correct
I went to my first ball in Alphas
Makes total sense. The Marine Corps dress blues, probably the most recognizable military uniform in the entire world, are not issued.

My first ball was while I was at MCT.
We got pulled out of the field, cleaned up, put in fresh from the Dry Cleaners Cammies, bussed to main side for a uniform parade & a speech by General Krulak (then Commandant), then bussed to the mess hall for Surf & Turf Chow... of which 1/2 of us got food poisoning because the Lobster was from a Red Tide...
Second Ball was at a bar because the Hotel we reserved burned a month before the bar. Was in Alpha's for that.

The Blues Jacket, Gloves, White Belt & Belt Buckle are not issued. The Pants, White Cover, Blood Stripe (when earned) & shoes are issued because they are part of other uniforms. If you get assigned to 8th & I or Embassy duty, THEN a complete Blues Alpha uniform issued
