This past Halloween, I went to the West Los Angeles Halloween Parade. Those of you familiar with the area know that the majority is a gay population. In any case, I had literally hundreds of gay males hit on me, stare at me, come talk to me, ect...

The problem is, I don't recall seeing much females giving me the same attention. Now, before you think I'm going out there, seeking attention, that isn't necessarily the case. I'm just curious as to whether either the following are possible scenarios of what is going on:

1. I emit some sort of gay vibe, even though I'm straight. I'm not narrow-minded in the aspect that I'd get upset at this, but more along the lines of curious.

2. I intimidate girls to a certain extent. Maybe because I'm big, they assume that if I don't look in their direction, then I have no interest in them.


Basically, the gay guys were friendlier and more social than the straight girls. Why is that?

Because they're guys lol...not much more to it than that. Anyone that goes into a gay environment is fair game to hit on. Idk if you're trolling but your not that big that girls would be intimidated by you.

Well as a guy, you know that you have to take the initiative, you can't wait for them to come to you unless your famous or "Uber Hot". Women are not intimidated unless you were hooded and chasing them in some dark alley (were you?), you just have to communicate with those strange creatures. If that doesn't work than you know guys will always pick you up.

An attractive dude attends the West Hollywood parade and you're surprised that drunk gay guys hit on you? Not to restate the obvious, but perhaps they thought you might be gay since you placed yourself in a homocentric environment. In all due respect, this is no mystery. But I also would never personally flirt with a guy unless some sort of eye contact had been established.
